While having a job provides a livelihood, the work environment can get bad. We’re talking about unreasonable management, a toxic office culture, and corporate greed that benefits no one but the people at the top.

Meanwhile, those who do all the work are left to stew in their frustration. Some have chosen to air their grievances on social media, and this page's posts are excellent examples. As you scroll, you will see why many have chosen to fight back against the system.

Here are some of the posts that stood out the most. Feel free to upvote the ones that resonated with you most.

I usta be against unions when I was younger, dumber, and naiver; nowadays, I think they’re INCREDIBLE and need to be EVERYWHERE. Unfortunately, the board has ways of making sure people don’t get ‘em, and they buy the s**t they’re being sold. I really hope things begin to change as much as they can before AI does away with us.

This is typical. The retention budget is often much smaller than the the hiring/recruiting budget. Yes, it all eventually comes out of the same bucket, but sadly, companies don't look at it that way.

It’s absolutely sickening that we’ve allowed this to happen. The dickriders of these mega wealthy make me sick the way they gargle their balls. It oughtta be illegal, and I’m sooo disappointed that no one’s targeting the REAL problem, which is that we allow a small handful of people to have ALL the money, and ALL the power. Instead, we get school shootings. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We just need a group of Luigis willing and smart enough to pull it off.

The blurb is misleading, and the actual (very short) article says that human CO2 production is natural and part of a closed loop, whereas the burning of fossil fuels is releasing enormous amounts of CO2 that has been sequestered for millions of years.

Tweet criticizing Netflix layoffs despite high profits and employee bonuses

It's a nice theory, but while there are plenty of rich individuals making lots of money from Netflix stock most of the stock is owned by institutions, and many of those institutions are investment companies, such as Vanguard. In turn, a great deal of the money invested by Vanguard belongs to normal people, either directly or indirectly. Reduce the income of a bunch of very profitable companies and you're reducing the pensions and life savings of lots and lots of fairly ordinary people.

😳 When I was at Apple, I kept getting raises without asking for ‘em. Every six months. I already had jaw-dropping benefits, bonus, stock options, sabbaticals, vacations, the works. I expected it all to be waaay better now, decades later. Dammit; I guess every big company is evil now. 😞 I’m glad I was able to enjoy such a sweet time; I just feel sick about the young people I meet who tell me their goal is to work there.

Hatarakanai Ojisan (働くおじさん): This term describes older male employees—usually Gen X or baby boomers in their late 50s and 60s—who remain on the payroll with senior salaries but contribute very little to daily operations. Surveys indicate that nearly 49% of Japanese companies have such an employee. Common behaviors include taking long smoking or snack breaks, staring into space, chatting, or browsing the internet.
