my name is emanuel and i’m from switzerland.

as long as i can remember i’ve been in a wheelchair.

in my life i tried a lot of different hobbies and almost every single time i felt compromised by my wheelchair…

apart from taking photographs.

in fact there are certain plus points in being in a wheelchair as a photographer.

> how often have you seen a photographer ungainly crouching down to reach my comfortable seated position?

> no need for assistance carrying around my equipment. i’m wheeling it around myself.

> after a day of shooting: aching feet? never.

joking apart: photography became my passion. a form of expression. a motivator. it has taken me to extraordinary places. maybe even out of my comfort zone. most importantly my pictures do the talking and they do not say «wheelchair».
