No wonder this island lures the travelers from all over the world with its amazing nature, cultural preserved heritage, festivals, religions and art. Still it seems to me that it was the God’s idea to create a special place on the Earth where the holiness can find the reflection of their inner world in people, ocean, reach natural resources and magnificent cultural interplay.

Factors that have formed Balinese culture as it is.

1.One beautiful legend says that people who live on the island were blessed by the Gods and the one who specially loves them is Surya the God of the Sun. This story easily explains their love to gold and masterpiece golden works: crowns, jewelry, temple decorations and fertile gold deposits.

2.The following one is historical ground. For sure Bali has always been strongly influenced by Indonesia. While colonization, migration, royal marriages brought Indian, Chinese and especially Hindu cultural impacts.

3.People are highly spiritual at every home they’ve got altars for the Gods grace you can even meet such corners outside and in the offices for them to make prayers for fortune, health and wellness.

4.Every detail matters. Especially when it comes to mandala a symbol of the Universe. With great deliberation women think about pattern, color repetition and general balance.

5.This island seems to be an endless world of numerous arts and crafts. As everything created is made with the idea to please the God and gratitude for the given talent.

Carving is an integral part of life.

The Balinese jewelry is distinguished among the other cultures by very fine filigree work, granulation, and jawan.

And there is one incredible story to leave no hesitations that Bali is the land blessed by the Gods. One young European lady in her 30 s has changed her life perception full of terrestrial interests to the spiritual Asian wealth.

As usually her head was busy with the Three Snails business routine, kids and other everyday problems. And one of a sudden she had received the note from her doctor about serious brain disease. Every place she went for treatment gave her rejection telling there is no hope… But someone had another life plan for her.

She met a person who practiced yoga and overcame such disease in India. Leaving everything aside handmade business, family, present lifestyle she went to India to spend there long 8 months. Being restless and adventurous she traveled thought Asia where the most wonders were waiting for her in Bali.

She got acquainted with gold and silver smiths who’s jewelry creation were so deliberate to sink into heart. She enjoyed every moment and every part of its nature, visited temples and practiced mandala creation. So that Bali turned to be a part of her world.

Interesting, but Balinese don’t like wearing silver jewelry preferring it to the golden only. Still they make a lot for export.

Truly holy land gave her the chance for a new life.

Now Ukrainian handicrafts are presented together with Asian masterpieces with the purpose of artisan support all over the world.
