The Owners Asked To Superimpose The Image Of Timber, Their Recently Departed Dog, Into The Photo As They Spread His Ashes Into A Pond. This Is The Result
It's the splash from the dog landing, that is my scientific and wet faced opinion. Edit: I showed the photo to my husband and his face is now wet , so it must be true
Load More Replies...Auch. I have a terminal ill dog and this picture just broke my heart.
I'm so sorry, Cecile. I understand what you're going through, and it's a dreadful time. My heart goes out to you, and I hope for a peaceful transition for your beloved friend.

Timber is crossing the rainbow bridge and happily waits for the two of you. You'll be with him again. Hold onto that.

I'm so happy they found each other. That boy really loves that cat. And then boys eyes. 🥺
This is so incredibly sweet. This little boy’s life has turned upside down but I’m glad he found his loving cat for support and comfort.
Oh, the terrible things we do to the children and animals of this world. I am so glad he has his cat back.
God bless it's heart! Look at his little face! I'm so thankful they were reunited safely!!!❤️❤️❤️
No one said life was going to be easy. In fact, it can be downright tough at times. But despite the challenges we face, we can remain resilient. In fact, some people seem to be much better at it than others.
So to find out more about resilience and the power of positivity, a while back, Bored Panda spoke with Susan Petang, a certified divorce coach and the creator of “The Quiet Zone Coaching,” who teaches people how to stop feeling overwhelmed and start waking up happy in the morning again. Petang argues that the very first step towards building mental resilience is instead of viewing these unfortunate moments as "failures" or "misfortunes," view them as learning opportunities.
A Single Dad Adopted An 11-Year-Old Teen After His Adoptive Family Dropped Him Off At The Hospital And Never Came Back
Did they drop him as an 11 year old or as a baby? Neither is good but one is more likely to cause such horrible trauma! Glad he's got such an amazing dad now.
They dropped him off when he was 11. Even worse, they were his adopted parents.
Load More Replies...He also has a YouTube channel (can't recall the name) where he shares his daily life on how he fosters children.
Yes, I've seen that too. The bond between them is something wonderful. This man himself was adobted to a white family.

What the hell? I'm just saying that I never get tired of this story.

They're delighted aren't they?! So much better than being parked in front of a TV at the care home. This needs to be industry standard where practicable. Bring the joy!

She's so happy, she looks like she's going to launch out of that chair.
We had the chance to bring my 93-year old Mom to the beach in one of the chairs, and she was absolutely thrilled!
I love this photo. It's actually taken at Aberavon beach in port Talbot South Wales. There is a nursing/residential home on the beach front which you see behind them; and the lad pushing one of the chairs is from one of the local rugby teams called the Ospreys. All in my home town :D never thought I'd see somewhere local on this app!
Before And After Beating Cancer. 2019 - 2020 - 2021

Load More Replies...So Happy for you. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last week and chemo will start next Monday. hope I will be there to celebrate also in a few years.
Wishing you strength, courage, and all the best to be cancer free soon!
Load More Replies...and still the same lovely smile is pressent in all three images. Beating cancer is a tough task, which can wear people down, and increase the "milage" a lot in a very small amount of time.
She looks great in all three pictures. However, what amazes me is that she managed to keep her eyebrows. Mine fell out and came back blonde. They are still largely blonde over 20 years later!
Those eyes! Eyes always stand out to me, but these are just beautiful!
It’s important that we sit back and consider a couple of things about any difficult situation we’re in at that moment. “What can we learn from this? How can we use this to become a better human being/worker/parent/partner?” Petang said and added that crucially, it's all a matter of mindset.
It Has Been Amazing To See How AIDS Has Been Controlled, Definitely A Win For Humanity
When I was a kid in the 80's, AIDS was the nightmare no one could imagine waking from. I'm still utterly amazed by how it no longer is a death sentence and the fact that properly medicated, you needn't worry about your partner or unborn child being infected. I know it's not a miracle, but it really is. I never expected it to ever be something this manageable. (And thanks eternally to the doctors, nurses, scientists, researchers and advocates who labored all those years just to get us to this point. You all deserve to be recognized as saints and miracle workers).
I didn't see your comment. I wrote pretty much what you've written, but not as eloquently. I'm a bit older than you, was in my 20's in the 80's. And frankly, I'm stunned with what has been achieved.
Load More Replies...One of my close friends discovered that she was HIV positive when pregnant (from a previous partner who had briefly experimented with drugs). Her son was born HIV positive. He is now nearly 28: fit, healthy and has never had any symptoms, thanks to the anti-HIV drugs.
So at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, I was in my early 20's. My age group thought this was a death sentence. I'm overwhelmed with what doctors and researchers have been able to do with this disease.
I will scream it from the rooftops! HIV is Not even close to a death sentence anymore. Thank you science!
When I was at college and university in the mid-late 90's there was a lot of information and warnings around about AIDS but also still a lot of ignorance. This was a time when I was becoming not only sexually active, but aware of my own sexuality. At the time, the warnings about AIDS did worry and concern me and I was always very careful to use a condom with the people I slept with, both male and female. Unfortunately they didn't worry some of my friends enough. Of the LGBT+ people I went through college and university with, almost a quarter of them contracted HIV and almost half of those who contracted it have since died from AIDS. This was at a time when AIDS treatment was still in its infancy and it was not anywhere near as effective as it is now. There was also much more stigma about AIDS and STD's in general and people were far more reluctant to get tested. People far too often did not know they had HIV until it was too late for the treatments at the time to be effective.
My mom was a social worker for AIDS and HIV patients and couldn't afford childcare in the late 80s/early 90s. Guess who had much contact and wasn't scared? I'm so happy for you.
It May Not Seem Like Much, But After Two Years Of Struggling, My Fridge Is Finally Full Tonight
Oh, it is much and I'm ecstatic for OP. I've been on both sides and I think anyone else who has knows the comfort and overall relief it is to have food in abundance after having very little.
Yup! I remember the days when just having a few cans of food in the pantry brought me comfort because it was something at least! So a fridge this full is definitely something to be proud of! Well done OP and everyone in the comments who also know this feeling well and still continue on, hopefully with full fridges as well!
Load More Replies..."it may not seem like much", no my love, this is everything! Congratulations 🎊...so happy and proud of you 👏🏻❤️💜
I've been at the point in life where I didn't know what I would eat the next day, so a full fridge is still exciting to me. Your situation goes from "I'll have to ration this so it will last as long as possible" to "what do I want t cook today?" and its the best feeling
Yes, this! I love to be able to choose what I'm going to cook depending on the craving/mood and having all condiments for it. It's the best feeling ever!
Load More Replies...I know how you feel. And this is something to truly be grateful for and I'm so overjoyed for you. That something everyone should have a full stomach and a roof over there head and nice bath. 💞💞💞
Lol on a side note, those arby's fries are so good. Ore Ida's beer battered are the best fries I've ever had, but the arby's ones are great, too.
Right before I saw this, my husband and I were trying to figure out a way to feed our 2 children tonight. Saw this and my mouth watered. I know the feeling and I'm so glad someone like us got food to put in their fridge! 🥰
To Promote NASA’s Artemis Program I Regularly Set Up My Telescope On Busy Street Corners To Show Passerby The Moon
This deserves way more upvotes, such a simple but beautiful thing to do and magical for the kids.
Not just the kids. I'm sure some adults would appreciate it, too.
Load More Replies...Like 15 years ago, I was on a busy street here in Pittsburgh, and a guy leans in and asks me if I want to see Jupiter. I almost dismissed it as crazy talk, but instinctively said "hell yea." A few steps away, he had a telescope aimed at the sky. Sure as hell, there was Jupiter. It was insane. Obviously had an impact, because I'm still talking about it.
As a passerby, I can confirm that I would very much like to see the moon.
This reminds me of one of my favourite moments when I was in the US - I went to the Brookfield zoo and a volunteer walked up and said "Hey, do you want to see the world's largest scorpion?" and being me I was like "OMG yes I do". He was a bug guy, we chatted for ages and he just does it to share his love of bugs. I think about that guy a lot.
I go to that zoo a lot and now I aspire to meet this man
Load More Replies...You know I haven't brought my telescope out in a while. I think I might take a card from this person's play book and see what happens.
I hope you do Joshua Moon (cool name btw)! Even as an adult this would be magical to see and I know you’re gonna brighten someone’s day doing it wherever you’re located! Good luck!
Load More Replies...In all seriousness this could change a kids life, this could be the one moment that leads them to their future, thank you for doing this, I wish it was everywhere
The moon is truly a beautiful sight. I love it and I look it every night I see it.
Artemis will change the world and eventually provide us unlimited energy with H3.
I still remember when my grandpa got me my first telescope when I was seven, set up a life time obsession with space!! I still bore my husband by pointing out constellations at 31 years old lol
Meanwhile, some people are more naturally resilient than others. “It's because they learned to think positively at a young age,” Petang said. It turns out that our attitude towards life - the good, the bad, and the ugly - is formed earlier than we think, way before we go to kindergarten.
“Positivity isn't about putting your head in the sand and singing 'lalalala' when bad things happen; it's actually just the knowledge that we'll be OK no matter what,” the life coach explained.
Such A Wholesome Moment
All right!!! That must have absolutely blown you apart. What an awesome day!!
Local flood warning in effect as BP cries happy tears for this man and his kid.
I feel this! My son is diagnosed with autism as well. He finally said his first word when he turned 5. Even though his first word was "ball", I got so excited I nearly cried!
That truly is wonderful. I am so happy. It must of been a shock at first and then you just burst into tears. This is truly beautiful and wonderful.
When my non verbal daughter said her first word "bubbles" I cried so hard I could hardly tell my boyfriend. I'm crying about it now lol
BP moderators, these words you blur out are so full of emotion! When I have to stop and think about why it's blurred out in reality, it loses something in the initial thought. Just realize, there's nothing wrong with "bad words". But you should know at this point, from your users, that true emotion should not be censored!
My son is also non verbal autistic. On the last day of school last year he said I love you for the first time. I cried tears of joy. He hasn't done it since but he gives the best Eskimo kisses and that shows me he loves me.
I also have a son who is nonverbal autistic. I talk to him all the time and tell him I can't wait to hear him talk one day. He babbles, and can certainly get loud at times, but none of the sounds are ever words. I always tell him that I can hear him and always ask him what's he saying because I want to know so very much. I'm hoping one day I get to hear him say "Ready, Set Go" I know the waterworks wouldn't stop for several minutes.

You are iron man. You are mighty and you have slayed. Congratulations

Amazing! I wish both of you all the very best on both your journeys.
Brilliant! You are inspiring each other to get better, and it's working so well!
What’s interesting is how closely positivity and resilience are, in fact, related. “Positivity is the understanding and belief that you'll be able to bounce back from anything; resilience is when you actually do it,” the life coach argues.
“I teach my clients to use The Power Questions. It's a great way to interrupt the spiral of emotions when everything is hitting the fan!” They are as follows:
“How important is this, really? Don't make mountains out of molehills.
What is something positive and constructive I can do about this? Be solution-oriented instead of blame-oriented.
What emotions am I feeling right now? By identifying and labeling them, we shrink their power over us."

Good To Be Open
I did this with my kids when they were little too. Everyone was very happy to answer the kids questions. One young lady did not want to talk about why she was missing a leg but was absolutely amazing. She told the children (with great enthusiasm) that she was sat on by an elephant while visiting the circus. The kids were wide eyed and had questions about how she learned to live without a leg which she answered honestly - it was hard in the beginning and she was still adjusting but that she was really excited to get a prosthetic leg next week. When the kids were satisfied they ran off to play. I apologized if I had made her uncomfortable and presuming that she was ok to talk about her experiences. She smiled sadly but thanked me. She said it was fairly new resulting from a trauma and that she hadn't been prepared for such open honest questions but said it was much much better than the silent stares and whispers. She was graceful, courageous and amazing and my kids remember her well.
How beautiful, gives me hope for humanity!
Load More Replies...I’m always at a bit of a loss as to how to react when my kids ask about other people’s disabilities or appearances in public. I will NEVER shame them for asking a question and always want to emphasise that all people are different somehow, but I feel like I’m left with two options: either I speak for the person in question (which feels rude - giving my own narrative to someone else’s experience) or, ask the person in question to tell their own story (which also feels rude because they don’t owe anyone a story or explaination and are probably just doing their grocery shopping not relive a hideous car accident).
As someone with hidden disabilities that have become present at times and loads of friends/families with visible disabilities, I think how commenter Ienka and OP handle it is best. I’m not the spokesperson for all disabled people and sometimes I’m really not in the mood and tell people that, but I think we’d prefer these responses to the long stares, rude whispered comments, or ignorant assumptions we usually get. Also, my mom encouraged me to “look it up” if I was so curious as a kid and in this age of cell phones and instant info, I think that’s a great way as well. Had a kid help me through a public panic attack that way cuz he looked it up on his cell phone and came over to help, it was awesome and I think about him A LOT.
Load More Replies...I love when kids ask usually they are excited I get to have wheels all day.
I don’t understand why people react poorly to disability. An assisistive device whether it be a wheelchair or communication device is a part of that persons body. It functions as a literally part of their body. It’s not weird. It’s not unusual. It’s incredible that we have so many devices out there now to help people access everyday activities, and people who use such devices should be seen as physically and mentally strong and badass.
That is exactly how I wish more people handled concerns related to people with disabilities. Regardless of one’s ability or lack thereof, we’re human. That’s all there is to it!
A Kindergarten Classroom At Gatewood Elementary School In Minnesota Was Learning About Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A Teacher Captured This Precious Moment
To think, some republican turds want to ban this kind of conversation. Scared of learning something about themselves.
This is clearly CRT and the teacher should be fired immediately according to a large portion of Republicans. They would only see what is on the projector, not the sweet hug between those kids.

Super cute. <3 Aren't they a bit young to understand what they're learning about though? Again, Not saying it's wrong...I'm just curious if they understand? We didn't learn about stuff like this until we were at least 10.
Kids are a little smarter than we tend to give them credit for, especially kids these days that I’ll say are exposed to different cultures much easier and earlier than many older people. For reference, I’m 26, had been called the n -word by a classmate by the time I was 6, and lived in Montgomery, AL at probably about their age when we went to the Rosa Parks museum for a field trip and definitely got the concepts of “black people got treated unfairly, so we rose up and did these things to get fair treatment, some worked, some didn’t” at 4-5 years old.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was 'it must be a psychological relief to not have to shave a beard anymore when you're a transgender female.' Just having to do that every day must be a horrible feeling. I know I feel gross if I get even a couple of whiskers during my time of the month, lol. As an aside, they need to develop whatever hormone blocker/estrogen or testosterone drug people take to stop growing facial hair for our legs, lol. Can we not find a way to make this happen? I'm so tired of shaving.

I Saw This Man And His Dog Whilst I Was Crossing A Bridge In Prague. It Was -4°C Out And He Used His Only Blanket To Wrap Up The Dog. A True Act Of Love
For many homless people their beloved dog is the only friend they got, and often they treat their dogs better than they treat themselves, e.i. feeding the dog while the themselves starve. The bond between a dog and its owner can be a really strong one.
The homeless are just as human as you or me. In fact, I would go as far as to say that those with little give a lot more than those with a lot. That being said, can someone please put five euros in this dog's cap. (I'm pretty sure that the guy gave it to the dog when it was sunny, if you were wondering why).
Very true! I work with the homeless providing medical care. So many of these human beings have experienced trauma most of us cannot imagine. They were alone, scared, and trying to survive at an age that most of us were still playing with toys and our only concern was having to go to bed or do some chores. These people are not throw away lives, they are people who need love, compassion, and lots of mental and physical health care that most societies deem unnecessary or a waste of money. It breaks my heart every day.
Load More Replies...This is not a heartwarming story that makes my day better. This makes me sad.
Homeless people love their pets and will go to extremes for them to be cared for even most rich people usually won’t do, so to all the “activists” who insist on taking animals away from the homeless, f**k you.
Well, true animal advocates would never dream of separating a pet from their guardian, homeless or not. That’s why we have free pet food pantries that usually try to have free or very low cost vaccines and medicines for all in need.
Load More Replies...Please, please, please tell me the OP did more than take a picture.
The homeless in Prague would always make me sad, they'd never ask or openly beg but they'd keep their heads lowered and often to the ground. Always felt they were looked at as third class citizens.
They are nodding? This is not an evel remark, just a quick question about their heads lowered to the ground, and someone else above stated that they are junkies who are trying to get compassion.
Load More Replies...Housing is NOT a privilege. Housing is a right for everyone, humans and dogs, particularly. I am so sorry anyone has to live this way. It's just not right. This is life and death. I Went To A Community BBQ Tonight And Sat By Myself. A Few Minutes Later This Kid Came And Sat Down Across From Me. He Shyly Asked, "Sir, Do Know How To Play Magic?"

I don't know how to play Magic, but I'd love to learn! This kid can pull up a chair by me anytime.
Please tell me their friendship went beyond one game. From the looks on their faces, they were meant for more than one game.

I Made A Decision That Will Define My Life. I Will Not Study Political Science. I Will Study Fine Arts In Italy. I Will Follow My Dreams, No Matter How Unreachable They May Seem
Fine Arts in Italy sounds like an absolutely banging choice! I love it!
Go for it! And for anyone who needs to hear it, follow YOUR dreams. (As Eminem might say) you only get one shot. Make it a good one. Note: I am available for motivational speaking at birthdays, christenings and bar mitzvahs. Strictly NO retirement homes. Not after last time.
We only get one life, best to do what makes you happiest I reckon. (other lives may be available, I don't know the mysteries of the universe and neither do you ;) )

I wish you fulfillment and security! I don't know how to say good luck in Italian, so French will how to do, so Bonne Chance!

Amazing how much more motivating it is to reward folks for good behavior rather than punish them for being bad.
Positive reinforcement always works better than negative reinforcement.
after a bit of googling, sadly the program was discontinued. it was part of a vw "fun theory" campaign that only lasted a short while and was tested in several swedish cities. the attempt to "gamify" speeding resulted in a reduction of about 7 km/h overall before the promotion and after the promotion went into effect. i think it's a brilliant idea and more cities should look into this. as it is, we drivers just think of those speeding cameras as craven attempts by municipalities to cash in on drivers by often lowering the speed limit in the areas where the cameras are located. this would at least help us to hate them less.

well a horse were once appointed to the job of senator in ancient Rome, so why not? Dogs sometimes have a much better outlook on life than many people. Eat, sleep, love, exercise moderately and explore a bit, but in general relax and do not care too much about what goes on in the world, that is basically what you need to do with your life.

This Soldier's Body Armor Has Additional Protection. In Addition To The Armor Plates, There Is A Drawing Made By His Daughter To "Protect Dad From The Evil Russians"
I dont want to take away from this picture. I am happy for his protection, and glad not all russians are evil. I think of the poor russians locked in there and locked out from the rest of the world every day. I dont want them to feel we dont care for them as well 💗 edited to add the first part that was cropped out by mistake
Its Putin and his soldiers (and not even some of them), NOT the Russian people. Don't incite hatred where its not due!
Load More Replies...This would be a lot more "wholesome" if the dad didn't have to be in a war.
Yeah, this has an "orphan crusher" kind of feel good vibe to it.
Load More Replies...Why are people jumping to conclusions about "racism" (are you sure that's the right term?). Obviously the "evil Russians" are the armed soldiers who invaded their country, leveled entire cities, killed thousands of civilians, raped and tortured innocent people for fun, looted farming equipment and food, and blocked exports to starving nations, and NOT every man, women and child sitting at home who happens to be Russian. It breaks my heart this has gone on for 6.5 months while the world just watches, with gentle people having to enlist or be drafted to take up arms against invaders instead of being at home with their families, but sure, yeah, turn this into thinking that kid who might lose her dad, might lose everyone in her life, might lose her own, is being taught to hate others.
It's not about that kid, but about people in the West - you may be surprised how many do think that Russians are evil and that can cause significant harm.

Jeans as wedding attire are fine. Do what you want on YOUR wedding day, let other people do what THEY want on THEIR wedding day - contrary to popular opinion, grooms can and do choose what they want to wear because they're actual adults.
My dad did that to me too at his and my moms wedding, he said some vows, and even gave me an expensive ring, bad idea (I was three, I lost it down the drain twice until they locked it away) we are celebrating 13 years as an official family this October, and 1 year of being legally adopted by him this November (I’m 16)
This!!! This is what you what your future husband, Hell even wife to do when your married or in a long term committed relationship!! Not all this c**p I see about how I don't want my step daughter at my wedding because she looks to much like her mom or abusing them just because of jealousy!!

Small dogs are often not disciplined properly because you can just pick them up. This is probably the reason a lot of people don't like small dogs. That and the horrible inbred grimness of some small breeds.
And there's a lot of yipping...which is my main reason for not liking them.
Load More Replies...This reminds me of my husband and my dog Bailey. When he first moved in after the wedding she growled and barked at him constantly because she wasn’t used to him, but then I got my husband to help me feed her in the morning and gradually weaned them off me and onto each other, so that now they love each other and I’ll often come home to my husband spooning, cuddling with the dog and telling her he loves her when he think I’m not listening and she even letting him sleep on her, something she NEVER let’s me do.
My mum's dog Tim-Tam has never been terribly comfortable with men, and my sister's feral adopted cat Ceri is skittish around people for the most part. My sister's boyfriend managed to bond with both of them. He's a frickin' keeper.

Nice Employee
Retrievers are perfect for this type of job. They are always ready to party and even bring gifts
My neighbor's dog was a great example of this. Rudy walked at the pace of a pregnant turtle, and would absolutely refuse to walk no more halfway through his daily walks. He was so slow and laid back, he should've been christened Spicoli. However, you should have seen him rolling on his back in his yard numerous times a day. The first time my husband and I witnessed this spectacle, one of us said in amused astonishment "Wow. That must be some seriously good grass", not realizing in the moment how appropriate that line really was. Once we realized what that sounded like, we spent the next few minutes and then the rest of Rudy's life cracking up over Rudy's good grass habit. I miss that silly stoner dog.

Sadly, some people hates dogs and cats. When I first realized it, I was genuinely surprised and disappointed. I was 4 years old and saw my neighbor kick a very small kitty. Because it got in his way. I remember it so vividly like it was yesterday. I even had a nightmare few times about it.

Load More Replies...Err, what's the point of having a model with Downs if you airbrush all the Downs away? Infuriating & unnecessary since Gucci used a beautiful Downs model and used her naturally.
As far as I can tell, this is what she actually looks like. Not all Downs look the same, and really? Saying they edited the Downs out.... what, she's only a good inclusion only if she has the strong telltale signs of classic Trisomy 21? Would...... would it be better is she had increased obvious mental instability and disfunction, that comes with some chromosomal abnormalities?? Because then her being in the bra and panty pictures would be ok? WHAT??? You know there are three different kinds of Downs, right? Trisomy 21 (nondisjunction), Translocation. and Mosaicism.
Trisomy 21 is what everyone is familiar with. They have the extra 21st chromosome in every cell. In Translocation, that extra 21st chromosome clings onto a different chromosome, like the 14th maybe, onstead of chillin by itself like in Trisomy 21. So they have the normal 23 pairs, but they aren't all matched correctly. This tends to cause symptoms similar to Trisomy 21. In Mosaicism, some cells in the body have Trisomy 21, and some cells have the normal amount of correctly matched pairs of chromosomes. This is the lowest reported form of Downs due to the symptoms being less apparent.

Many hearts are breaking for you and I truly believe that somehow, some way, you will be rid of that devil. This is heartbreaking.Putin is a vile monster who has and is continuing to destroy so many lives. I am sure there are so many Russians who never wanted this terrible war and feel absolutely horrible about what is happening. Some people in Russia have loved ones in Ukraine as well.
Why would anyone apologise for their nationality? It's like apologising you have both legs in places where some people don't. One should be attentive and sensitive, but apologising is virtue signalling to me.
I think "that" stands for the war, not for being russian. And i can understand, that He want to apologise for the stuff the dictator of His homeland is doing. Wouldn't you too? My Mom Threw Her Dog A Quinceanera
Every year on our dog's birthday I would bake him a cake made out of pet mince with some cheese on top, molded into the shape of the appropriate number. We'd put candles in it too, and give him a new toy to unwrap (he LOVED unwrapping presents).
Awww. My little buddy is also 15 this year. We are planning the biggest party ever!

I expect that it would be 'they guys' that were in danger if they got anywhere near hurting her or her eggs. Geese are the Chuck Norris of birds, in my opinion.
Yeah, Geese are d***s generally, but I’m glad these guys are still taking such considerate care of the “cobra chicken” (stole it from the internet but love that name for them!)

I’m A Master
Completed my bachelor's and master’s in 19 months with two young kids. Got pregnant and had a third during this time. While working full-time as an RN during a pandemic. My maternity leave is over today and I head back to work tomorrow. For clarification - the school, western governors university, is a self-paced, competency-based school. If you know the material, you can essentially “test out” a class. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t without effort - but focus, determination, and paying out of pocket by term, not credit, were big motivators. My BSN took 10 months, and MSN took nine.
DAAAAAAAAAMN so has anyone ever told you how much of a bad b***h your are???!!!??? Seriously! I sincerely wish nothing but the best for you and your family!!! If I had to choose one word to describe you it would be simple to choose..............Badass!!🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️🤓
Wow! My mum had three kids when she started her bachelor of nursing and had another two while undertaking it. She had to sit some of her exams while 8 months pregnant. I thought that it was impressive she completed the three year course in four years but this tops that!

Trying To Recreate Grandma's Recipes
I have a recipe by my great grandmother that literally says "usual amounts of flour, eggs, etc". Thanks Grandma, very helpful!
When I was younger, my grandpa taught me his cornbread recipe. The "cups" of flour and cornmeal it called for, were measured with the old plastic tea/coffee cups, he kept in his flour and cornmeal canisters.
Load More Replies...I have a few that ask for things like "2-3 handfuls of flour" and "1 teacup of milk." It's fun trying to reverse engineer them.
My mom's recipes are the same way. After she passed, my sister and I had a heck of a time trying to recreate some of her recipes (her German potato salad for example). She liked to make stuff up and then never wrote down what she did!
My great aunt’s recipe for fruit cobbler uses “butter the size of a hen’s egg”. 🤔
That reminds me of a story about my great grandmother. She was at a Country Women's Association meeting and learning a new recipe. The person teaching said it called for something like 3 lemons. My great grandmother asked what size lemons and pulled out ones she had grown that were about four times the size of normal lemons!

I Germany, with our deposit system, that'd be worth several hundreds of Euros.
My church used to collect cans to donate. I think the pull tabs went to make prosthetic limbs and the cans for wheelchairs or something. My grandad would do a daily walk, well into his 80s and collect as many cans as he could during them. It's one of my clearest memories, him describing how many cans he found this day or another. Unfortunately one day he tried to get one out of a gutter and fell over and grazed his face, but he didn't let that put him off!
If they're empty, that's even more sad/impressive that he got that many (measurable by weight).

I assume you're thinking of the McDonald's Coffee lawsuit, which had nothing to do with the security of the cup and everything to do with how insanely overheated their coffee was, but which the McDonald's PR people spun into a story of a frivolous lawsuit brought against them by an idiot (who was in fact a blameless old woman who suffered horrific burns and only asked them to cover her medical bills, which they refused).
