    Bowed out at 100k - took my 50k winnings and went home (wishing it was UK so no taxes). No idea which planet was discovered in 1781 - in fairness, that's where I'd use a lifeline, but the lifeline person probably wouldn't know that one either.

    Walking in a straight path from Paris to Berlin, you would come closest to Strasbourg. Strasbourg is located near the border between France and Germany and lies roughly along the direct route between Paris and Berlin. Gimme my money.
