As an amateur photographer, I’ve driven my family insane with all the ideas I’ve come up with and asked them to be a part of. When they see me gathering items for a shot there’s a lot of eye-rolling and “Can’t you get someone else to do it?”

They’re generally good with helping me out, but sometimes when the creative juices start flowing I’m impatient to try and get the scene while it’s fresh in my mind. The easiest answer is to put myself in the shot and see if I can pull it off. It can get difficult to execute, but self-timers, remote triggers and a tripod have been my friend. Here are a few of my pics for your consideration.
