So if your SO walks in and tells you he/she can no longer be in a relationship with you after two years cause he/she has to deal with family issues and they proceed to move out...how would you react ?

When someone tells you something, believe him. Your SO can no longer be in the relationship. Let him or her go … with as much grace and dignity as you can manage.
