“What Happens When…?”: 35 Interesting Pics That Answer This Question About The Most Random Moments In Life
Each day we face the consequences of our actions. Some might be funny, others—not so much. But the aftermath of events allows our brain to learn from mistakes. Research shows that when we repeat an action after an error, we take more time to evaluate the response. That does not eliminate occasional mishaps, though.
Some of them are so amusing or fascinating, it’s a crime to keep them to ourselves. We at Bored Panda have browsed an abundance of online posts and compiled a list of people’s best what happens when moments. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy these pictures, ranging from breathtaking natural phenomena to some pretty foolish human errors. This Is What Happens When You Put A Highlighter In The Microwave In Case You Were Wondering
Dammit; I seem to have tossed out the photo I took when I tried to heat a bottle of alcohol ink in the microwave for three seconds. The geyser sprayed magenta ink onto the ceiling of the microwave, and both the geyser and the aftereffects were really quite pretty unless you were waiting to use the microwave, and then it seemed merely simply to annoy people. Folks sure get grouchy about shared microwaves, and seem to hate art besides. 🙄

This Is What Happens When Snow Doesn't Melt Underwater In Finland, By Vesa Kaloinen
I’m trying to understand what OP’s trying to convey. Was the snow on top of the water, and the water moved, making these pretty patterns? Does OP *really* mean to say “snow”? I’m trying to imagine what this looked like before the water swirled it. Do we have any Finnish folks here who can describe this a little more for us? I’d like to appreciate it a little better. Thanks!

What Happens When You Grow A Pumkin Inside A Plastic Mold
We usually do this as kids; mostly we ended up with Coke bottle-shaped cucumbers and eggplant (aubergine), and a bunch a unexplainable sand pail-, water bottle-, and bell-shaped pumpkins, as we didn’t have any really containers to work with. 😕 We woulda peed with delight had we had something like this!

Here's What Can Happen When A Soggy Stump Goes Through A Hard Freeze: Ice Fur! This Is A Thick Coat Of Fine, Delicate Ice Crystals
I grew up near the woods (it was about 200 yards from the house), so I’m VERY familiar with soggy and/or rotting log, and while it got very cold, I never saw anything like THIS! 😱🤯🥶 It’s incredible, and I’m imagining that I, a dumb kid, woulda wanted to lie down beside it and hug it, at least up until I learned it’s not actually silky and cuddly. (I was always trying to lie down with the calves and the cows; it didn’t dawn in me the danger I was putting myself in until this moment! No wonder my mom had a cow when I did that!) What I can’t seem to wrap my mind around is how the fungi-y water turned into these fine angel-like hairs. What makes the water in an old wet tree stump behave this way? The water normally evaporates; evaporating water doesn’t look like this, does it? (What I mean is that we don’t see water evaporating.) What would cause the water to behave in such a way that it’s frozen into hair-like beauty like that? Can any weather nerd explain for us, please?

Why isn’t the weather frozen, too? Or is the water a hot springs? Given the amount of fog, I’m thinking that’s why the warm into frozen. One of my best memories is going to Mammoth Lakes where with my best friend; in winter, we’d sit in the sauna until we’d had enough, and then run out through the snow into the [heated] swimming pool. Once we got chilly, we’d run back to the sauna and repeat the back-and-forth all day. It was a BLAST! Each felt sooo good, warming up and then cooling off. I’m pretty sure, though, that had our hair frozen, we’d be been all 🥶, though, and certainly NOT smiling! 😀

I don’t understand this one at all. They appear to be in the Underground, so … they’re on the way to … a subsidy office to collect some money? And they don’t appear be be self-isolating, so … the don’t understand the instructions? What the heck? I hope some English people can explain what’s going on here, because I’ve studied it a good few minutes and can’t figger it out on my own. 😕 Thanks so much!
