Last year, UK medical website Superdrug Online Doctor asked female graphic designers from 18 countries to create (read Photoshop) a perfect woman that will be considered super attractive – a perfection – in their particular country. The project was so successful that the same website decided to repeat it. But this time, they asked men from all over the world to photoshop a photo of an ordinary man and transform him into the Ideal Man.
The project named the ‘Perceptions Of Perfection’ studies how we understand body image issues and beauty standards different countries and clearly shows that the image of an Ideal man depends on where we live. Slim and powerful, tanned and white, with defined Abs or not, all of these men are shockingly different and unique.
