Ballerina Fountains In Poland Designed By Artist Malgorzata Chodakowska
Every day presents us with the chance to expand our knowledge. But if you are still, for whatever reason, worried that you are too old to learn something new, think about Priscilla Sitienei, a midwife from Ndalat in Kenya.
Not having the opportunity to attend school as a kid, she grew up without learning to read or write. But as she got older, she wanted to share her experiences and knowledge with her family. So, at 90 years old, she joined a local school, along with six of her great-great-grandchildren.
The Photo Of The Century. Nature Defeats Technology
Hope his legs are okay and didn't get damaged by the propellers. If it is safe for him, he's welcome at any time here.
I believe this is a an experiment into the viability of taking down drones using birds of prey. You can see that the bird is wearing jesses (leg straps).
Load More Replies...I think some airports have started using trained raptors to bring down drones.
I hope he doesn't think he's bringing his kids dinner.
Mission accomplished. The jess flopping off to the side shows he's been trained. I had an osprey harass my drone because it had a nest in the area. Got a video of it zooming by. I left the area hastily and intact.
Looks like an expensive drone 😉. I do hope that his footies are okay.
I was out at a photo shoot for an Ag company. Two hawks lazily swooped over and checked out the Drone we were using. Flew alongside for a bit looking it over. Decided they didn't care and cruised off. Could have smashed it to bits, but were like "Nah bro..It's puny..."
I thought I read somewhere where birds were actually being used to take down drones. Could have been the onion, so maybe not.
Snakes Definitely Look A Lot Less Scary If You Make Them A Hat
When my kids and I see scary pictures of sharks (breaching, with all their teeth on display, for example), we imagine them singing power ballads. That takes the edge off, too. Total Eclipse of the Shark!
I was afraid of spiders when I was a kid, so I started calling them ‘spoiders’ so they wouldn’t sound so scary. 🕸️

I agree. This snake (I like snakes) looks just so darn cute! It reminds me of when Gertie dressed up ET in the movie.

A Perfect Shot Of Blue And Grey Grandalas
I love how blue the males are while the females almost look like buds at first glance.
All strategic as the males are bright to attack females and the females are camoflauge so they can hide sitting on the eggs

I thought the bird looked more confused. Like "what is going on, I don't like this... but it is kinda warm and snuggly..."
Load More Replies...Priorities done right. Sorry for the hair, though, it was probably damaged from the long exposure.
This is incredible. You never realize how giant these birds are until you see them next to a human being. I rmr in Canada I went on a 3wk canoe trip w/ my dad when I was 15 n we camped on this little island for a night n there was a bald eagle nest right above us. It was like 6-7ft in diameter. They would come n go to feed the babies n it was so intimidating when they would fly in bc I was just a tiny teenage girl.... this bird was like 3 of me. One of the coolest experiences ever. It definitely made up for how much that trip kicked my a*s!

That's where they come from. At night a little wood nymph does a jig and brings them to life.
Are we sure they aren't hummingbirds who've been trapped by the plant and changed into one of them?
Apparently, once we’ve lived enough lives as humans, our souls eventually go on to becoming ‘student’ creators. Can you imagine the fun some soul had creating those monkeys and these….!

They Are Not Leaves
This is a band inspired by the Beatles: The green one is the lead singer, and the others play instruments. The one on the right plays electric guitar, and the one on the left is the drummer. They’re getting ready to preform their heartbreak hit “Baby, please don’t leaf me now” 🎶🎵
I love how some of them are trying their best to be leaves, and then the one on the ring finger is like "duck camouflage, I'm going to be bright yellow"
That one is a flower mantis. They are surprisingly well camouflaged against dark green leaves, white/yellow petals, and broken sunlight.
Load More Replies...Mantis are my #1 all-time favorite insect, followed by a tie between big fat bumblebees and dragonflies. I love the mantis because they are smart and self-aware, and will also actually see you—-other insects seem to ignore you unless they feel threatened—-and will turn their heads to look at you if you walk around them. The bonus comes when they help rid your shed of black widows. I am not at all a fan of spiders, so I have nothing but respect for the mantis being able to take down one of the worst of the spider baddies.
I remember a while ago going for a walk and I saw a mantis on someone’s fence. When I stopped to look at it, it turned around and appeared to be smiling at me 😀
Load More Replies...This has to be a "mantis fancier" - showing off their collection. There is nowhere in the world you could go for a hike and find all those- some are probably from India, some from Indonesia - some from Brazil.

This Is One Of A Collection Of Twelve Giant Books Made In 1715 By A Priest In New Spain
this is most likely a community missal book for churches, as printing individual booklets was beyond expensive and pretty much impossible. these books were placed in the front and center of the church, and the huge letters allows for anyone in any part of the church to read along and follow the mass. books like these usually had hymns or psalms for the congregation to sing, or the parts of the mass such as the liturgy of the eucharist. churches very rarely owned more than one of these books, as they were pretty dang expensive, but one book could have up to an entire liturgical year written inside of it.
"New Spain" = Mexico. "Mexico" used to refer solely the valley of the Capital city. Hence, the name New Mexico (1581) is actually way way waaaaaay older than Mexico (1821)
That's so people can read them at a distance. I've seen music pages that big at the Syracuse University Library that served the same function. Books were expensive back then,
The Blood Falls‼️ One Of The Most Incredible Natural Phenomena On The Planet
How does this happen? Kinda need more information, so if anyone can help that would be great please :)
Blood Falls is a waterfall of vibrant red water that oozes out of Antarctica's Taylor Glacier. Its unique color is due to iron salts seeping out of the ice that turn red when exposed to oxygen. The falls are home to microbes that can survive extreme conditions, with no light or oxygen.........I just did a copy/paste from a Google search.
