Yeah! The falls at Niagara by themselves are impressive, but the whole area has been turned into a circus midway fast food souvenir conglomeration. Really a shame.

I live close to the US side of Niagara Falls. I actually lived in Niagara Falls (the city, not the falls) for a while. They are beautiful--from the Canada side. From the US side, they are a bit of a let down, as you really can't see the best part, the horseshoe. But these things blow Niagara away!

Most people who visit Niagara are unaware of the best part which is further down river past the Whirlpool is Whirlpool Park on the Canadian side. There is a trail cut out of the rock that one takes all the way down into the Niagara Gorge. There you can hang out right next to the ten foot high rapids going by about 50 MPH. It is exhilarating. The American side also has a similar trail but it can be hard to locate the head of that trail.

My hotel room (Canadian side) had a unbelievable view of Niagara Falls. It took me minute to realize why it seemed so familiar, though I'd never been. Then it hit me, Niagara Falls looks and sounds like a enormous flushing toilet. I still can't unseen it.

But really hard to get to from Buffalo Airport. The Niagara falls are the largest free-fall waterfalls by volume. All these separate cataracts combined are about a third less water than the larger of the two Niagara falls. Several other "falls" have greater volume, but have no or minimal free-fall. But I actually do believe that the accessibility of Niagara is key to how legendary they are; I'd be hard pressed to compare the beauty of the Niagara falls (which I have seen) wth falls such as these (which I haven't).

The amount of nutrients in that juice is pretty low, so the chick needs to go through a lot of juice, and needs to get rid of a lot of superfluous fluids because of this.
