Lmao so me and my fiancé, Nich, were laying in bed one night and our littlest orange cat Luna was on the top of our headboard. Nich says “wtf” and starts cracking up. Just dying laughing. Told me to look at her. She was on my side of the bed (right side when looking at it from the foot of bed) facing the wall the door is on (also right side when standing at the foot of bed). Standing there. Staring at me. Like this, but not quite as upside down (yet)….. above my head. At 4am….. in the dark lol she had to look more to the left because I was more to the middle of the bed than on my side. When I looked at her she turned upside down even more and just stared. Forever. Then took off using the wall, dresser, and night stand to do parkour.

It is with a heavy heart that I say HRH Spencer crossed the rainbow 🌈 Bridge peacefully last night, aided by Natalie our awesome vet. He waited for the boomerang child to get home from work, did a walk through the entire house, went from 100 to 0 in front of my eyes and told me it was time. He was 17. He was my friend, my last fur baby, my confidante and my bed hogger. I brought him home. We had one last star rise and a bottle of red together. He has been my heart for 15 years and my heart will hurt for a long time. Cat ♥

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I let you know that HRH Spencer crossed the 🌈 Bridge this evening in my arms, with the help of Natalie, an incredible vet. Spencer is currently "sitting" with me, enjoying one last sunset and bottle of red. RIP my beautiful Lord and Master, the last 15 years have been incredible. I am so honoured to have been at his beck and call. The bed will be forever lonely. I love you.

If you religiously put fresh water down for your cat but they'd rather drink out of the toilet bowl, try placing the water bowl away from where their food is - I can't believe how much my cat drinks now that I've moved his bowel to another room! Apparently in the wild cats don't drink where they eat - who knew? Edit to clarify - I didn't really move his bowel - he does that unaided!

It's actually sensible, if you think about it. Cats eat dead things. Water near dead things get all contaminated with bacteria. Water no longer safe to drink. So... Cats drink elsewhere, where there's no (known) contamination with dead things/food.

As my rescue kitty finally felt comfy enough, he jumped up onto my shoulder. He's 17 pounds. I wasn't expecting it. I buckled. He clung for life by digging his claws into whatever he could... me. I dropped my shoulder to shed him off... it just kept getting worse and worse. He hasn't tried again.

Sometimes Aldi has these cute cat houses made of cardboard. My cardboard box loving cats (2) love them. I stocked up on these houses because now I have to build 2 at a time. A plus to these is the floor is corrugated cardboard that you can put catnip in and this keeps them busy, and they can nap in their houses after they were themselves out.
