Arttenders invited us to re-design the bathroom unit for the first European branch of the American company CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center). CIC Rotterdam opened recently an office at the Groothandelsgebouw and supports promising start-up companies with housing, courses and by inviting interesting speakers for special meetings and network events.
The CIC x Arttenders Art at Work Project commissioned us to create a design for one of the bathroom units, adding style and playfulness to a space that is normally considered purely functional.

“WC Wonderland, Happy Drips and Stains (2016) is inspired by the playful shapes of liquid drops and stains; and the the young, creative and innovative atmosphere of CIC. WC Wonderland is the perfect place to enter another world and escape from everyday reality. We want to spark the imagination of the toilet goers with our surprising art installation before heading back to work at CIC, where the best ideas arise.”
