I Captured Stunning Pictures Of Milky Way In Finland’s Most Desolate Landmarks
A few years ago I didn't know about the Milky Way. A few years ago I wouldn't have dared to go alone outside in the middle of the night. Now I'm usually alone out in the nights and I really enjoy it, even if sometimes it can be scary.
I have been photographing the stars for almost 4 years and still today every time I'm out it feels like it's the first time. I find it really fascinating that I can capture the stars, the Milky Way and the Northern lights with my camera!
Here are some night images that I have captured in Finland. Finland is a big country so sometimes I have to drive many hours away from my hometown to get to the place I want. After the shooting, I usually sleep in the car. Also many times it can be really hard to shoot during the winter as in Finland the weather can be really harsh.

These pictures are stunning. And I, too, used to look up and marvel at the densely-packed Milky Way back when I lived out in the country and could see it much more clearly. To look at them and wonder at the life that might exist out there and what they might be doing.

And then there are antionalists ... (At first, I almost corrected the accidental misspelling, but then I realised what a neat way of taking the destructive bastard down to size it was. Probably my new favourite way of spelling that word!)

We are so tiny and unimportant, like a speck of fly dirt in comparison with the grandness of the wee, tiny little Milky Way, itself just like a miniscule smudge in the universe.

Looks magical. Good job. It's really hard to find places without (or without too much) light pollution nowadays and it's getting worse

I used to see this a lot in the country in the Midwest. To much light pollution now. You don't know what you've got til it's gone.
