On the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons, marked each year on December 3rd, a presentation of costumes created by pupils took place at the University Library in Oradea, within the project “I am A Child Just Like You”.
The event started at 11.00 am and consisted of a presentation of the costumes created by the students of the Technical College “Traian Vuia” Oradea for the children from the “Bonitas” School of Inclusive Education Center, in order to achieve a calendar for 2018, by the artist Ionuţ Caras.
The “I am A Child Just Like You” project aims to promote the rights of children with disabilities and their integration into the community.
In addition to the presentation of the costumes, there were also photos of the children participating in the project who were awarded prizes. Finally, the special guest, Santa Claus, sent by the Living Life Association, shared gifts for all children at the Bonitas School of Inclusive Education.
“Because of the interest in the project and the special involvement of our partners, we want to continue this project next year,” the organizers said.
The project was initiated by the Love Bihor Association and the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Oradea in partnership with the Technical College “Traian Vuia” and the “Bonitas” Inclusive Education Center.
