I found an amazing illustrated poster about Palestine made by Franz Kraus, “Visit Palestine” from 1936, and I tough myself : why not do some other ones, same style, but with some "actual and accurate" subjects : pollution, migration, war, etc.
Here is the result but the project is still on going. Wich city will be next?

I'm not judging any particular place on Earth, but I do have a question that I've always been baffled about. What does being poor have to do with the trash in the water.? Why can't all people recycle, get rid of garbage in appropriate manner and take care of their hygene. . In this country anyway.?
One reason I think Is that some people do not see them selves as part of their country. They can not get a fair share of the wealth they (may) produce, No political voice, No access to justice, No Voice against endemic corruption, So why bother

The orang-outan should be shown burning because that's what happens, they are burned alive, you can see them run out of the forest with their fur on fire, sometimes holding their little one also burning alive.
That's so horrific. I already make huge changes to make sure I do not help palm oil production.
Load More Replies...This is because of palm production for palm oil. Please don't purchase or consume products containing palm oil.
i'm sorry my friend, as indonesian i must say you're wrong at some point, ... locals at borneo respect orangutan and the forest, but the multinationan company doesn't...

Seriously people they kill to eat the meat rubbish they hid behind the tradition card. This is nothing more than brutal murder and torture of innocent family pods swimming innocently by. Anyone who has witnessed the footage of the pilot whale killings and are not sickened by what they have seen are as sick as they are Children playing with unborn foetuses, calves fully formed thrown into garbage bins this is nothing more than criminal Children watching and taking part this is surely child abuse we protect our children from the horrors of the world not involve them The supermarkets are full they are not short of alternate food whT happens if there Re no grinds do they not eat Leave the whales alone they do not belong to the Faroes????
I have shopped in a few of their many grocery stores. There is plenty to eat. Veggies, tofu, bread, pastas and even gummy bears. There is a Burger King as well. This is a blood sport for toxic meat. Go to YouTube and type in Grind Faroe Islands.
See for yourself: Butchered on the beach: Whales heard 'screaming in agony' as 33 were slaughtered while witnesses 'laughed and cheered' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2738948/Australian-anti-whaling-activist-arrested-Faro-Denmark-accused-assisting-mass-slaughter-33-point-whales.html
Obviously, Sarah is a troll. How do you depend this atrocity? How do you defend killing animals by the hundreds, with your children participating? How, please do tell. I can't 'unsee' all those photos from that God forsaken rock ....
Load More Replies...Anyone who visits the Faroe Islands is supporting the violent brutal slaughter of hundreds of Beautiful Pilot Whales. This is a barbaric horrific death. It is a complete blood bath by the hands of Barbaric Murder. Google the Grind year after year this continues. Do not let the beauty of the Island fool you. This is HELL ON EARTH.
So anyone visiting or living in america is supporting whaling and using animals for entertainment good to see your pov lol.....
Load More Replies...Pilot Whales are members of the dolphin family, one of only four species (dolphin, apes, elephants, humans) who are self-aware and autonomous with highly complex family and social associations. Since science has differentiated these species from farm and domestic animals, much of the civilized world has stopped eating dolphins, much less killing them for sport. The Faroese argue they are feeding families and preserving tradition yet the meat is subsided rather than eaten and their use of the Danish navy in murdering dolphins dates this ‘tradition’ back no further than the motorized naval vessel. Clearly, these barbarians are there because they love to kill. Nothing more. Civilizations throughout time have abandoned sadistic, ritualistic traditions such as sacrificing virgins to sun gods in recognition of contemporary science, yet three countries refuse to join the 21st century and stop their sick medieval murder of dolphin: Japan, Norway and (with help from Denmark) the Faroe Isl
Sick place full of sick people !!! They are monsters and killers this place is nothing but a death sentence of life ????
Such a evil place. Whale slaughter is illegal in the EU, but the whaler from the Faroes kill thousands of those innocent helpless animals every year. Without any grace they slaughter even mothers and their calves. Many of the corpses rot in the sea. It is the pure lust to kill.
A total blood bath, if that's what you call fun come & visit us!!!.....NOT.
I cannot visit a place that haplessly murderrs many pods of pilot whales in the most horrific and barbaric of ways . The beauty of the Faroes will be tarnished as long as this so called 'tradition!' Is allowed to continue.

funny.. but even so... this is still sad.. so many women and men employed in this profession.. and so many of them must be forced into it..

Why don't you draw about your country? You think your country is too good??
Take plenty of good quality condoms with you, and some brass knuckles.
I'd let you watch, I would invite you... but the queens we use would not excite you.

Wonderful times of anybody with a cheap computer being an authority over cultures they've never seen or known anything about. Uplifting.
This age where anybody with a cheap computer is an authority on every culture they've never visited or has any idea about! Frustrating.
How many times have you left your backwood and roadkill sandwich to be there?

I like the poster style! Some of the messages are unpleasant for sure, but simplying showing the things that are a part of that country that aren't necessarily advertised.
So 3 with plastic in the sea? Once is enough, I think. Get some other ideas.
I was truly shocked by the amount of plastic in the water at Male. The Maldives are not the place they are made out to be.

This is not accurate - there should be about 2000 tourists on that beach. And don't forget the petrol fumes...
I think the artist was commenting on the child sex trafficking in Phuket.
Load More Replies...This is about westerners marrying Thai wives and in the poster the kids are the white man's children
I don't think child sex trafficking is the problem of Phuket tourism, at least not more than other places.
Guys and girls -calm down! This is not Child trafficking! It is about old divorced Western men marrying younger Asian women and having kids with them.

....We don't create refugees in Greece you know, we are welcoming them and we do try our best...
@vetcoach mv I don't think that was the intent. To me he's talking about problems that this world has and people having to flee there homeland in dangerous ways because is more dangerous to stay, is a problem...they should have to leave at all.
The people in the water are refugees from africa/the middle east, coming to the greece islands....
Load More Replies...so, you think that having desperate people trying to reach the shore of a safe land and country would harm your vacation? Or that this is something that the locals could of have avoided, like they had a choice? Or maybe you consider the refuges as being waste in the sea? That is so wrong from you
That's definitely not what the author meant. The poster series is reflecting the global problems through formerly (or still) popular vacation destinations - in this one it is not the refugees themselves being the global problem, but the situation that has forced them flee. To compare to others in the series: the orangutans are not guilty for dying out in Borneo and stray dogs are not guilty for starving in India. Hope i have made my point, cheers.

Excellent and educational. People need to understand what the actions of humans have done and are doing at an accelerated rate to our wonderful planet and all its inhabitants. I commend you for your excellent graphic depictions of humanity at its worst. Maybe more like this might wake up the sleeping citizens of this planet and spur them into action. Thank you for caring. A+
I know how this shows some of the reallity of these places but isn't it kinda hypocryte to point out only the bad reality of underdeveloped countrys but not of your own like Belgium, USA and others like if they were perfect?
I think you're looking at this all wrong. It's not about who's "perfect" and who's "bad" - it's not a contest for a prize of the worst/best place to live. Try not to look at this with "Well, other places have some bad things about them too!" attitude, but rather "Darn, we should try to prevent those awful things happening".
Load More Replies...hey guys, .. be logical, no drama.. nothing wrong with the posters.. all places have these kinds of problems. the artist just emphasize them. we, no matter where we were born in the countries affected or not, just need to accept the problems and do something to make these posters untrue in the near future. stop blaming but start "developing"!
Such cool postcards! finally something authentic, I would like to print them :D
I think it's the plastic tray you can find when buying some beer cans. The kind from Happy Feet.
Load More Replies...These are good, but it is missing the one with the 19 year old 'digital nomad' living in Bali off his parents credit card claiming to be a life coach.
Any idea why these all-over-the-world problems were deliberately shown associated with these few handpicked places?
Because why should they have 800,000 cities in one article just because you are offended that people litter?
Load More Replies...You have created very telling posters. I especially like Borneo and Faroe Islands. I need to say however, that you need to get the real "Palestine" story. There are thousands of "Palestinians" living peacefully in Israel. They work and practically run the Old City of Jerusalem. No one bothers them, and they don't bomb people. The people of Gaza put themselves there. The men never do a minutes work. They sit in the street smoking hash and drinking coffee. The women do all the work. They depend on Hamas for food and clothes, in return when their children reach the age of 5 they give them to Hamas to be trained as suicide bombers. At 5 years old they learn to shoot an automatic. I travelled the whole region for over 4 years as a 'travelling hippy' type. I was with an American boy who was murdered in Gaza just for being Infidel. I was attacked in Lebanon for wearing a T shirt on a burning hot day. Be careful whose side you choose on the issue of Syrian so called refugees.
