The "All Vintage Cats" project on Instagram, which shares impressive vintage photos of cats, has been gaining popularity with over 500 posts. The creator of the project, Brazilian journalist Paula Leite Moreira, came up with the idea during the pandemic when she saw an old photo of a cat and became interested in finding more vintage cat images. She sources images from historical collections, image banks, and social media platforms.
With that being said, if you'd love to see more vintage cat photos from this account, make sure to check out previous posts on Bored Panda by clicking here, and here.

François Carré 3 years ago (edited)
I've shown this movie to kids multiple times at work. In this scene the Tramp has just been locked in a cage with a big lion for a few minutes, but in front of that girl he likes, he's trying to pretend that he was not even impressed. Then he gets startled by this little cat... On a side note, I always mention to kids that today circus tends to be much more animal friendly than it was back then. No more lions in cages !

Another Charming Shot From The German Photographer Toni Schneiders Shows A Siamese Cat Comfortably Perched On A Human's Shoulder. Cat Or Parrot? 1951
Kathryn Baylis 3 years ago (edited)
I haven’t had a shoulder cat in a while. Did have a tiny kitten spend a lot of time up in my hair (during the day) and around my head (all night) after we rescued and adopted her, though. She’s a small but healthy two year old now, and we love her so much. So does our other cat, who is her playmate.

Makes me happy to see so many men in the past who were devout cat lovers. For some reason, some people think it’s not manly to love cats. What a b******t attitude. People who think like that just don’t know what they’re missing when they deny themselves the love of a cat.
