Bored Panda reached out to the founder of 'Very Important Positivity,' Elle McGann, who kindly answered our questions about her project. "Initially, it [the page] was created to inspire by sharing people's achievements, allow people to share in the joy of the happy moments in life, and to be an alternative to the negative news and attitudes that can seem all-pervasive in modern life," she told us. Scroll down for our full interview about happiness and optimism, Pandas. And if you enjoyed the posts, make sure to follow the VIP socials.

Also, not every divorce is due to people hating each other or something. Sometimes a divorce can save a relationship, heck, good friends of mine divorced only 2 years ago and they are best friends, better of than during their marriage.
"After coming home from Iraq, Tyler's dad had nightmares so bad he feared closing his eyes. Tyler designed a smartwatch app to detect their onset and disrupt them with a gentle vibration. It just won FDA approval to treat PTSD-related nightmare disorders. Wholesome Moments"
First picture "What are you doing? Get it away from me!" Second picture "I swear, if you so much as lay a finger on my little marshmallow, I'm going to ruin your favorite shoes!"
How sweet! I know what this is like since I'm autistic, and people are kind enough to treat me like a regular human being.
"Father overhears his son telling his boyfriend he plans to come out, so he left him this note..."
Same with my aunt. Died last year at the age of 80 but she's forever on Google checking the mail while taking a break from mowing.
Six people were a match and here is an update. "Oscar had been receiving treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia since 2018, initially at Birmingham Children's Hospital, before the family made the decision to go to Singapore for the CAR-T therapy, which was not available to him on the NHS. The treatment is specifically developed for individual patients and involves reprogramming their immune system cells, which are then used to target their cancer." (they received £500,000 through crowdfunding in order to do this and have since returned home - he has additional treatments going forward. June 2021)
"I noticed a guy on Fb that was better than me at mounting TVs so instead of hating on him, I reached out and offered to pay him to teach me how to perfect my craft. He didn't accept the money, instead we formed a partnership and the rest is history. Brothers don't hate, we elevate each other."
This one always bugs me on the rare occasions I go clothes shopping. The exercise stuff, or leggings or sports bras…never go up to plus sizes. Gimme something I can wear to my physio appointments!
A clear red flag back when I was dating (been married nearly 20 years) was anyone who mocked my hobbies and collections or said anything about how I should get rid of them or ‘grow up’. My husband has his collections, I have mine, and we make space for each other’s even if we don’t understand them.
"My sister had her first son today, I caught a rare moment between two fathers"
"My uncle and grandma on their way to a pride parade in the '80s"
Oh this, this really got to me. What a beautiful picture of love and support. Don’t judge others if we’re LGBTQ, just accept we’re as much people as you are.
She looks gorgeous and like "I can and will shoot you and I'll be gorgeous all the while, peasant."
He'll be celebrating along with you. Just because you can't see him, doesn't mean he isn't there.
shameful for a parent to take a kid to the vet just because he is autistic ,,,
This is sad, why is someone with a degree in zoology working a B's job like Starbucks
On a cruise once, I gushed over a Tokay that my server recommended. Turns out it was made in his hometown, and for the rest of the cruise we kept getting “mysteriously” upgraded to much better wines than the tier we paid for 😁
My daughter came home and she looked over to my turtle ( who was just swimming in the tank ) she nodded and said "hey what up dood " he nodded back like he was OG .. SMH
ah, this is very sweet. we need more simple, thoughtful acts like this
Therapist as well. I make an effort to tell clients how proud they should be of themselves. It is such a wonderful thing to watch someone's self esteem grow to feeling empowered and confident. It's like being a proud parent to see how far they have come and to have been part of that journey.
When they said girl I was thinking a little 5 year old, I'm glad this is not as creepy as I thought!
True generosity. And The "you are worthy you are amazing and you have a purpose" part will speak to anyone
I have a friend who loves fungi. I get so excited when I see some kind of fungi out in the wild because I always send them photos and they love it.
Probably more likely to get hurt while jumping off a cliff because of the life jacket. In the Navy we were taught that if you had to jump off the side of the ship you held the life jacket, or didn't inflate it if it was the inflatable kind, until after you got in the water. Your weight will carry you under the water and the life jacket will try and not go underwater. You can rip the straps out of it.
Depression slinks away, defeated for the moment by a tiny metal crab with “come at me, bro” energy!💪💪
It's not fancy but it's a big accomplishment and makes that bed one of the best they'll sleep on
Love the tat sleeves! This is so cute but my dogs and cat would have the arms of the mannequin torn off trying to head flip the hand on top of their heads to get scritches and scratches!
I've had strangers on BP and on YT send me messages/comments to ask how I'm doing and if I'm OK because from a comment I posted i didn't seem go be doing well. Sometimes I even get these months or years after my original comment. There are awesome caring and compassionate people everywhere, and never underestimate how much your "weird random" message might mean to someone 🙂💛
There's a wonderful video of a dad having a full out conversation with his baby while they watch TV. The baby is at the babbling stage, but his dad reacts as though he really said something. It's very funny, and very endearing.
story time!!! this summer, i was at camp as a CIT, and they have a bunch of theme days. like costume day (i was way overdressed as a danganronpa character and melted. fortunately, the director gave me a camp tshirt and i put my costume in my bag, i was wearing a pair of little shorts underneath lol), and mismatch day, but on this fateful day, it was crazy hat day. both me and a counselor wore the same hat (a frog bucket hat) and we took a picture with us doing the spiderman meme
I always nod and say hello to people in my local area. I did that when I lived in the city and I still do it now that I live far out in the country. My dad noticed this after I moved to the country and he was like "who was that?" And I told him that I do not know him but he was clearly living nearby so I said hello to be nice, to let him know I'm not a bad person (if I were a potential burglar or something I would not want to say hello to anybody. So saying hello is also telling the ppl that don't know me that I am not gonna do something bad), and to just do something to get to know ppl in the new area I had just moved to. My dad was SHOCKED! He would never ever do that. Lol.
I had a journalism teacher in high school who was like that. I really miss that teacher and that class.
My dad started writing a book about me when I was younger. Stories about life before me, and after, and some of the big things that have happened since my arrival. It's not finished, nor will it ever be, but it still holds a special place in my heart. I love to see that more people are doing this <3
Definitely sounds like a dodged bullet. What a thing to get hung up on!
Yeah my mom still reckons I "owe her" because when i was a kid she got up at 5 in the morning to go to work to take care of me... I'm just like I literally did not ask to be born.
Imagine being just on the other side of a dune, you can't see this setup, but all of a sudden you hear "Africa" playing...
When I was pregnant with our first child I was able to stay home for a few months during which time I was learning/practicing to play Resident Evil on the PS4 so I was able to play the 2 player Resident Evil game with him and we had such a great time. Before I learned I would just mash random buttons and scream because I couldn't handle the anxiety of being chased by zombies. We finally finished the game and we were so excited.
I always think that when I'm behind a learner driver. You see people getting cross and overtaking at places where they shouldn't - but they had to learn once. A bit of patience please!
What an awesome dad! And also wise enough to hedge against inflation…
I don't care of some of these are reposts. It's just so good to read heartwarming things because I get so sad at some of the depressing things we see every day.
