This is not an ordinary project with pretty tattoos or depressing photographs. It is a human antithesis of two different visions, one of the Henna Artist Laura Constantin, and the other mine, Alexandra’s Crisbasan, the person’s behind the camera.
Laura’s henna art compliments the human body by highlighting the beauty we often miss or neglect through the freshness, delicacy and grace of her tattoos.
My macabre photography bites and stings to show where this neglect comes from: the heartless society, the busy city, the consumerism culture and the manipulation of the media. The invisible hand of almighty control.
This is a heads up to the fact that what is beautiful and what is considered to be ugly actually belong together in the same human wholeness.
