“Think You Know Britain?”: Take This 30-Question UK Citizenship Challenge And Prove It
Being a “true Brit at heart” isn’t just about liking tea or chatting about the weather. It’s also about knowing the history, laws, and everyday facts that shape life in the UK – the same kind of knowledge you’re tested on in the real UK citizenship exam.
The real test has 24 questions, but we went with 30 here – mostly just to make it more fun and a little more challenging. You don’t need to be studying for the actual exam to take this. It’s just a good way to see what you already know.
If you missed the other parts, check them out here: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
Alright, enough of this – let’s go!💂

Q8 is wrong, There was no king Charles II at that time, he was only crowned 9 years later after Cromwell had died and the monarchy was restored.
Ace: I thought Q8 was wrong too, for the same reason as you. Having read the other comments and checked, it seems he was indeed Charles II of Scotland at the time. A bit sneaky, though, because the country he was in at the time, England, didn't have a king at all.
Load More Replies...I did the official mock test and failed when I couldn't answer whether a certain footballer was playing for Manchester United or Manchester City and in which season was Snooky a contestant on Love Island. I'm pleased to report I've never watched that drivel and it shall remain unwatched, thank you very much. Also, just personally, I don't think I'm a bad person for not being into sports. A far better question would have been which side of the escalator is for standing and which one is for walking, how do you pay for bus fares or are you aware that it's customary to greet the driver both when you get on and off the bus. In my country you buy your tickets at an automat or pay by app, we aren't supposed to talk to the driver unless it's an emergency and regretfully, no one seems to be able to form a queue or not inconvenience people on the pavement. It's amazing how in the UK you don't really have to slalom between people going in every possible direction.
I am English and live on the south coast. I could absolutely tell you which side of the escalator to stand on, how you pay for bus fare, how to queue or how to make a good cup of tea. Even which Tesco meal deal is the best value. But I didn't know some of the history. I got 20/30. So maybe they'll deport me now.

FreeTheUnicorn: quite right. Q18's 'correct' answer is wrong without any excuse at all. Except: Waterloo was 1815. 1812 was the French invasion of Russia - which Napoleon famously lost.
