We are Carla and Alessandra Bragagnini, who make up a Canadian-based mural design team called The Mural Project.

This pandemic has been hard on everyone and we realized people felt more uplifted after seeing little messages of hope on window drawings and sidewalk chalk art. This is a moment where quarantine fatigue is kicking in and we need this community support more than ever.

Even though it’s harder to paint murals, we decided to keep designing them. We started a project called “Mural Projections” by creating “virtual murals,” images with inspiring messages that you can download and project from home. And yes, you will need a toilet paper roll to do this.

This is where you ALL come in!

STEP 1: You can download a free virtual mural image on our website (http://linktr.ee/themuralproject).

STEP 2: Make your own DIY projector from home! Follow our video tutorial below. You’ll just need a couple of household items: a smartphone, a magnifying glass, a shoebox and something you are probably very familiar with during this quarantine – a toilet paper roll. (If you own a projector, you can set it up and skip this step).

STEP 3: Spread the love! Start projecting these positive messages in your community and tag us with your location

– @themuralprojectco and #muralprojections Help us track the spread of these virtual murals by adding your name and location to the map on our website.

Start sharing so we can see we are all in this together!
