Turns Out Tree-Kangaroos Exist, And It’s Impossible To Scroll Down This List Without Smiling
It's no secret that Australia has no shortage of adorable marsupials. You've heard of the wallaby, you already love the quokka, but you probably haven't heard of the tree-kangaroo.
Well, tree-kangaroos are a lot like regular kangaroos, except they're twice as fluffy, and almost resemble small tree-dwelling bears. Found mostly in the Land Down Under, as well as New Guinea, these arboreal creatures remain elusive, and little is known about their behavior to this day. Though exact population numbers are currently unknown, tree-kangaroos do face the constant threat of hunting and habitat destruction, and are becoming worryingly less common in the wild.
As the rare gem of Oceania, tree-kangaroos have attracted a level of celebrity. In June 2016, the first tree-kangaroo born in captivity in 36 years was welcomed into the world at the Perth Zoo, representing hope for the species survival.

There is bugger all hope for these guys, our government is more interested in profit. We have plenty of great programs and people all working at the survival of many species here, but loss of habitat is the number one cause of extinction. We love our animals, our government does not.

I saw one up close when he was being cared for in the University Biology Dept. Their colouring is stupendous, and beautiful glowing, deep rich chestnut and a deep gold. They're very shy, don't like to be handled much, but not aggressive. Very cute.

SQUEEEEEEEE their "smile"´s really irresistable, I know they can´t really smile, like dolphins can´t either, but it looks as if they did, here I took the time to click through all pages because there´re only 5 of them, some Bored Panda posts have 80 or more pages because everyone can add a pic there... I hope nothing bad happen to animals, they are so innocent so lovely, just purely enjoy the earth, they dont know how urgly the human world is, stay like this, pure and happy.
