“In a parallel universe this art installation would be forbidden”
We live in a world where consuming is more substantial than reusing. On a worldwide scale, we produce 11 trillion kilos of trash per year, while 90% of the plastic can not be recycled. Yet, we produce and consume more and more without thinking the concequenses of our behaviour. We are all addicted and trapped in a modern way of living where symptoms used to be hidden. Not any more… Traces is a 100 square meters art installation made with 500 plastic trash bags at X-lane Berlin. During the exhibition of GraphicDays#14 The Krank presented a bold and poetic art piece, which addresses one of the most important issues of modern civilization, illustrating the increasing volume of waste.
