This Photographer Gives Lego Punerific Personalities

She’s the girl behind the Lego puns that come out around every major holiday, and she attributes her love for Lego to the bullying she experienced at school.

Emma Marie Horn, or as she’s known on Instagram, @emmainbrickland, has a collection of Lego minifigures that would be the envy of any primary school kid. But it was her brother that started her on the collection.

“Growing up, I struggled at school […] I only felt really happy when I was playing with my brother, and Lego was a big part of my life growing up,” Emma says.

“I got into photography when I was 18, before then I was always taking pictures but it wasn’t serious I guess until I bought that professional camera,” she says.

Emma saved all her money from her afternoon job to buy her first camera, which she named Meredith.

“The Lego photography kind of just developed out of that. I had a lot of ideas and I had a lot of Lego, so it just fit. Plus, I hate working with models, Lego is just easier to work with!”
