The Dancers and Dogs photography project recently brought St. Louis Ballet to Stray Rescue and turned their shelter into a winter wonderland with ballerinas from The Nutcracker! The clean, crisp photos show the dancers and shelter dogs in a light-hearted, unique way to help promote adoption.

“It’s special to know that our work might bring more attention to dogs and cats that deserve a second chance at a happy and comfortable life. And if we can bring a smile to people’s faces at the same time, all the better,” said Kelly Pratt, who together with her husband Ian Kreidich founded Dancers and Dogs in their hometown of St. Louis.

Just in time for the holidays, the Dancers & Dogs book and calendar are available for sale and proceeds will benefit Stray Rescue. St. Louis Ballet can be seen in “The Nutcracker” Dec. 18th -23rd at the Touhill Performing Art Center. To adopt, people can log on to The Stray Rescue of St. Louis Shelter and fill out an application. When you adopt, you save two lives: The one you are adding to your family and the one who takes their place. Their matchmakers will help you find the perfect fit for your unique family!
