These are two things that I always search for when I photograph horses – wild or tame. We have always been fascinated by power and beauty, and together they are invincible.
Horses has to me, always been fascinatingly powerful and immensely beautiful. It’s amazing to think about what they allow us to do with them, and to them.. They are intelligent, noble and kind creatures and will be loyal to you as long as you treat them with respect. I get to see a lot of different horses in my work, and each one has it’s very own personality. We tend to forget that animals are first of all driven by instinct, and then add to them some sort of opinions only possible for humans to have. But that’s our way of trying to understand and communicate. And we continue to believe that these creatures can know us better than we know ourselves.. And maybe they can. You can tell a lot about the owners personality just by watching how their horse is behaving, and how they behave together.

I’ve gathered a few of my favorite photos since I started out in 2014. All the horses I’ve ever met has left a hoofprint in my memory – some small and some a lot bigger.. I am truly greatful for all of them. -Anette
