I’ve just returned from a road trip around Italy. My last stop was the amazing city of Florence.
On my first day I visited the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower, or Il Duomo as the locals call it.
These are some of the pictures I took from the exterior and interior of the cathedral. It was an awe inspiring event to sit there and admire the beauty of this remarkable piece of art.
During the next days that I’ve spent in Florence, I kept returning to the cathedral to shoot more photos as the weather conditions and light constantly changed.
No matter how many times I saw the cathedral, though, I was always struck by its beauty.
