Married Couple Locked In Separate Countries During Coronavirus, Decides To Make A Song To Relive Their Good Days

Locked in two separate countries, thousand of miles apart, in this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, my wife and I decided to finish this song written and recorded almost two years ago.

We had to think carefully if this is the appropriate time to share something as happy as this. Back then, we envisioned it as a “summer song”. Something people can hear and think of the waves of happy sea, the arching dance of giggling palms, the vibrance of the tropical flowers.

While it is indeed summer in some parts of the world, some will be witnessing the blossoming of spring, we are aware that currently our world is clothed in gloom and uncertainty because of the cruel pandemic that is the Covid-19.

My wife and I are among the billions of people in isolation to stop this virus from spreading. And it could have been easier if we are together inside a home. But we are not. We are separated until we do not know when.

Instead of being sad, we chose to be productive and pick up the projects we had started before the chaos of wedding planning and paperworks.

We chose to finish this video to find happiness amidst the fear of unknown. To be reminded of the strength of love amidst uncertainty. To remember the good days we had amidst the current challenging ones.

To find faith that someday soon, we will be together again. And with the world we will all be united, we will overcome.
