Tangue or Malagasy Hedgehog (Tenrec ecaudatus) is a sort of small mammals of the family of Tenrecidae, the only one of the kind Tenrec. This ground insectivore covered with spines has the appearance of a common hedgehog, although it is very distant from it. Native of Madagascar, he was introduced as source of food into certain islands of Indian Ocean nearby as Reunion island, Maurice, Comoros or still Seychelles. His flesh is very appreciated in ready-made meal and its hunting is regulated.
