Teen’s Parents Leave Him To Be Raised By Grandparents, Then Decide It’s Finally Time To Be A Family
MTV’s Teen Mom taught us that becoming a parent in your teens is no fun. But life is unpredictable, and none of us are immune to its unpleasant surprises. Although teen birth rates are the lowest they’ve ever been in the U.S., around 126,000 babies were still born to mothers aged between 15 and 19 in 2025.
A story one teen shared online perfectly illustrates the challenges and dilemmas a family faces when teenagers become parents. The kid was raised by his grandparents, but 16 years later, his parents got back together and planned to have another baby. Their son then snapped and told them they were never good parents and weren’t fit to have children at all.
Brought up by his grandparents, a teen felt neglected and unloved by his parents his whole life
When they came to him asking to play family 16 years later, he snapped back with a brutal response
“I’m not sure how my mother would take care of them,” the teen worried about his new sibling
Despite all the drama, the teen was able to reconcile with his father
“She won’t be good for that child,” the commenters weighed in on the mother’s behavior
The teen’s mother confronted him about his convo with the father, only to be reprimanded by her own parents immediately
“Too bad the brains and empathy skipped a generation,” commenters said, siding with the grandparents
The parents still planned to go through with the pregnancy, even if they were stuck in a weird in-between situation
In his last update, the teen’s sister was born, but the mother experienced a mental breakdown
Some commenters called out the grandparents and the father, others lamented the fact that OP had to grow up so fast

OP's egg donor *slapped* a *baby." 🤬I don't know her + I hate her. Hope OP + his little sis are doing ok now.
I am so weary of posters writing "weary" instead of "wary". One means tired the other means cautious and on guard.
