Tattoo Ideas For Every Ink Lover
If not so long ago, tattoos were frowned upon, but now, almost a third of the US population has at least one tattoo. And if your body art choices used to consist of crudely drawn half-naked ladies and everything nautical-themed, then now a skillful tattoo artist can get you inked with any tattoo designs of your liking.
Tattooing is genuinely a form of modern art; the creativity and skill involved can doubtlessly be compared to drawings and paintings. Of course, there are tattooists and tattoo artists, people who trace a sketch and color it, and those who create astonishing works of tattoo art using creative ideas, shading, color blending, light sources, and the body itself.
We here at Bored Panda have curated a one-of-a-kind tattoo gallery featuring artsy, exceptionally executed tattoo ideas from various artists. From realistic large-scale 3D drawings to abstract, minimal, and playful designs, all examples are truly unique and fresh tattoo ideas you’ve probably never seen before. If you’re searching for something powerful and meaningful, you’ll also find inspiring choices like the Medusa tattoo, a design that brings deep symbolism and artistic flair into the mix.
So, if you’re looking for inspiration for the next addition to your tattoo collection, this gallery will definitely help. Scroll down and check it out for yourself!

The detail that this artist has managed to get into this design is incredible! The frost looks so real! This tattoo artist is amazingly talented!

I'm not too into the design itself, but I must say it's really well done and high-quality. Very impressive!

I like the traditional style tattoos on the merman, counterpointing the newer techniques used in the design as a whole.

Wow! You can sense the tension in the muscles. The folds of the fabric are expertly done. I like the way the colours from the tattoo on the left side bleed slightly into the new work & blend the two pieces.

Nice. For some reason it makes me think of cover art for 1990's Cyberpunk novels.

Is that thing accurate? Bet you could plan your vacation on that. "Hey, why don't we take a trip to that spot on the bottom of your ribcage"

Does anyone else think that Luke looks a little like Michael Jackson in this? Thriller comes to mind. But nice tattoo anyway.

I admire the tattooer´s precision. But I wonder how the tattoo will look after the girl gets older and certain parts will become a bit loose.

I like the fact they work well as stand alone pieces, as well as blending well together. That must be hard to achieve, especially on a piece this large.

So much detail! Each scale is so well captured! This must have taken a few sessions to complete to this standard!

Dang, he obviously needed it to be all black for that cover up, but her back was clean! Poor girl, hopefully they stay together for forever.

fairly sure this one's an example of painting, not tattooing. Most people's tattoos don't include highlights on their fingernails.

Kudos for the long post :-) While some are brilliant & a true work of art, others are too godawful to even look at!

One thing to note. It's fine of you are inspired by these to get your own tattoo, but never copy a tattoo exactly. You can go to your artist and say "I want something along those lines" and then let them come up with a design, but having them copy someone else's piece is plagiarism, unless you're dealing with "tattoo flash", which are generic designs made specifically for this and are usually found in catalogues or charts inside tattoo shops. Also, a good artist will never agree to copying. If your artist is ok with it... well, that's a red flag, ain't it?
