Almost all of my works begin with a passion for the surreal. Often accompanied by playing with words, the sense of playing finds its way out of my head through Adobe Photoshop into the colorful world of images. Sometimes brightly playful, sometimes critically disturbing, different voices find their place in my creations. Fairy tales and myths inspire me as much as music, nature and art.

Over 45 of my works will find their way into the physical world in the form of a book called Fabuloen, including a fantasy story of a whole universe. Others are available as art prints or are still looking for their way out.

I've been featured on Bored Panda previously, and you can find my older works by clicking here.

Donkeys are my favourite animals. I got really excited thinking it was a real bridge until I saw the title still amazing.

Creativity has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember so I can't say exactly when my journey as an artist started. Probably with my birth. I drew a lot but also made music for many years. In addition to my work as a freelance graphic designer, I have been concentrating on my path as a digital artist for about 5 years now.

This reminds me of the scene in "That 70s Show when Red asks Kitty why she put her dog (a Dachshund) on the counter top, to which she replied "He likes to be tall!"

I've always found it exciting to look at the things that surround us from a different perspective or to give them surreal forms. In doing so, I often look for combinations of elements that seem incompatible to create beings and objects that do not yet exist. This is how my stories and our books came to life.

There are pictures that are created within 30 minutes, others take me several days. Therefore, I cannot say exactly how long it takes to create one fully finished piece of artwork. Sometimes I must leave work for a few days to get a new and fresh view and to finalize the picture or I give unfinished work to friends to get feedback if I can't get any further myself. All these steps can take work to develop over many days.

Collecting suitable image material is often a major challenge. Bringing together different qualities, sources and perspectives can often be an exciting process that also takes a lot of time. Combining all these elements into something new and breathing life into this work is what I enjoy the most. And when I finally look at the new picture with its energy and it has a "soul", this is the point where I am happy.

Giving free rein to your own creativity and constantly rediscovering yourself is one of the most beautiful things I can experience. I also get to know so many wonderful and inspiring people through my work and I am very grateful for that. I would like to encourage and inspire others to go on a journey to discover themselves and explore their own ideas and handwriting. Thinking and seeing things out of the ordinary is a wonderful way to paint the day with colorful energy.

In December 2022 I published my new book "The Alphanimals", an alphabet full of colorful animals in German and English. The challenge was to find animals that start with the same letter in both languages. I was allowed to conduct a workshop with a second class at a primary school and that was an indescribable experience. In addition, we are telling new adventures about our Fabuleon universe every 2 weeks, which is published in the Japanese 365ARTplus magazine. Our protagonists experience various adventures in Japan and meet many new creatures from Japanese mythology created in my style and written by my wife.
