Man Spends Thousands Of Dollars Trying To Keep His Dog’s Hair Stylish Every Single Day
Kevin Chan, the owner of probably the most stylish dog in the world, a three-year-old Afghan Hound AJ Nirvana Battle, has already spent more than 100,000 Chinese Yuan so far (15,000+ US dollars) and 6-8 hours per week trying to keep his pet’s fur fabulous every single day.
Chan says that Battle was already the most beautiful dog in the world when they first met each other, and he doesn’t mind spending time or money on his pet since he’s a family member. Battle is given regular baths every 7 to 10 days and his owner does everything by himself. All the grooming equipment cost Chan more than 100,000 CYN already, and he additionally spends 4,000-5,000 CYN (more than 700 US dollars) on bathing products every month.

Afghan hounds are pretty dogs - but not the brightest lights in the chandelier. As for the money he spends, so what? He can afford it and it makes him happy. Some people spend their money on booze, others spend it on their gardens...and so on.

Shes beautiful, loved & well taken care of, nothing wrong with that in the least. If I had all the money I wanted to lavish my fur baby I would, I would love to go on trips and explore the world, unfortunately I can't afford vacations very far from home so we make do in life. I'm blessed beyond measure, compared to what some have. I see nothing wrong with taking care of of someone you love like this man's doing.

I was a handler for an Afghan Hound about 20 years ago. Video, video, and MORE video! Photographs just can NEVER fully capture the beauty and elegance of these dogs!! You simply MUST see them move!! And not coming at you, the way the owner did on his video). You've got to get them at a jog from the side! You cannot appreciate the breathtaking beauty any other way!

...and here I am waiting for springs/summer so I can get my Pomeranian's fur sheared off. X-D (It's okay, it is because she overheats easily, loves the feel of a short coat, and save me a lot of grooming time in the colder months when her coat has grown out)

I brush my cat for at least half an hour a day. Nice to see stories of people being kind to others or animals instead of all the negativity you read in the news. And for those saying he could have put that money to something else, it sounds like he has a pretty good paying career. Perhaps he does donate a lot to charity? Who knows. The guy loves his dog. And I think it's pretty sweet.

Battle is to dog pictures as Fabio was to romance novel covers. All wind machines and detangling combs! Don't get me wrong, I think he's a beautiful dog, he looks lovely.

I hope he's giving him plenty of exercise as well. Nice fur and good job taking care of it, but it's also a hound, not a lap dog, and needs bit more than just regular grooming.

Dogs aren't supposed to get baths so often. This dog might face some serious skin problems later on :/ And as nice as it looks, I've felt a bit weird when the dog posed as a human lady.

Breeder ...and then you are going to be adopted by a man who has too much time and way too much money. Dog: Sounds perfect. Does he love dogs? Maybe I'll get a yard and some walks out of this deal. If I'm like lucky I'll sneak up on the bed once in a while. Breeder: Uh, yeah, something like that. Sign here. Poor dog.
