Yeah, cos I’m sure the kid being paid a s****y wage, being forced to go to work at the same time global news is urging people to stay at home as much as they can, probably working 12 hour + shift and the only protection they get from their managers is a pair of cheap gloves thrown at them at the start of the shift really cares by that point. And newsflash: if the gloves aren’t replaced after each transaction, there is no point in wearing them as they don’t offer any protection to the wearer or the people they are exchanging items/money with.

I fear for the world. The massive amount of idiots that think this a joke or a hoax, that disregard safety measures or all around are selfish pricks... they will be the death of us. These are the types of people that say it's just the flu, and don't grasp how the R0 works, and why SIP is bringing down the numbers. My husband was gawked at by some boomer broad at Publix the other day because he was wearing a mask and she was not. Like chic, he's doing it to protect you, and our immunocompromised son.
The thing is, as long as most people do the right thing, it helps. No policy will be cool proof. Laughing at it, shaking heads and showing the world however is informative enough to even push that percentage of people who understand what to do a little further. The scary part is when leaders set the wrong example.

I've tried educating people on this issue. Trying to explain how statistics work, what the R0 is, how mortality rate does not account for the entire population right now... It's exhausting. Given how many people think this is fake, because those of us that are staying at home are bringing the numbers down, is insane. They are what will bring in a second wave, and for what? Many are asymptomatic, so, when does it end when these people could kill someone that did the right thing?
You're not looking at this correctly. The dumb ones are getting a BIG dose of chlorine in their gene pool.

Average Joe, fine, but the people in charge don't even know masks cover the nose? It's not just one or two either. Maybe a good culling isn't such a bad thing.
Downside to that is the increased risk to dedicated medical staff.
I was shopping yesterday and watched someone with mask and gloves on lift up their mask, get tissue from up their sleeve, blow nose and then put tissue back up sleeve, classic!
