I live in a small town named Carletonville, Gauteng Province, South Africa.

This week we were finally blessed with the much needed summer rain and like any other summer season, with the rain, it brings termite migrations.

Saturday the 22nd of October 2016, it was humid during the day as the rain is clearing up for now, and thus forcing the termites out of their hiding places and/or for the nymphs to hatch and leave nest to start a new life. So as night falls they started to emerge for the “Great Migration” towards the light under the veranda where I park my car.

My friend, was working late, and work not far from where I stay. He called me out upon arrival to see a couple of bullfrogs (a male and a female) feasting on the termites. So actually I’ve experienced two awesome scenes from nature and am so disappointed for not having a video or a photo of the two having a huge feast.

So I decided I’m going to visit this friend and took him home, chasing the two away so I don’t run over them when leaving the yard. As I wait for my friend to close the gate I saw the two frogs wait patiently for us to leave so they can continue their feast.

At 10:55 pm, I arrived home, parking my car on it’s spot, stepping out, I found these guys forming this Daisy flower formation which I have never seen them doing before ever in my life. Upon inspection (and as my mom suspected) they were trying to enter a tiny crack in the concrete floor all at once, which is big enough for only one per time.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this experience like I did, cause this is like a once in a life time experience. If you have experienced something like this, no matter where in the world you’re from, please share, I’m curious to see.
