19 AI-Generated Portraits Of Characters From The Simpsons If They Existed In Real Life
I used Midjourney to reinvent our favorite characters from the hit animated sitcom in human form. Of course, some family and town members are missing due to having difficulties generating them to any degree of accuracy.
These AI creations are people that could exist theoretically based on Simpsons characters fully created by Midjourney V5.

Ned Flanders
Yes in the show he claims he is 60 years old so I was basing the description off of that
Load More Replies...I am an 18-year-old student living in England. I enjoy watching the Simpsons and have watched nearly all of the episodes.
I have been using Midjourney Sunset since it was on version 2 till the current version 5. I discovered my enjoyment for sharing AI by posting it on my Instagram and I thought about creating a live-action Simpsons collection as it is always interesting imagining what your favorite cartoon characters would look like in real life.
Waylon Smithers
I would watch a Taika directed live action Simpsons movie... Just saying.
Load More Replies...I live in a very diverse small city in a very large city and we have more than a few Waylon Smithers in residence. I love it! AND, delighted to say- know some of the original Simpson writers since they were first on the show. Who remembers an early show with Krusty and his rabbi father? I read the original script the two "kids" submitted!!!
Groundskeeper Willie
“Brothers and sisters are natural enemies. Like Englishmen And Scots. Or Welshmen and Scots. Or Japanese and Scots. Or Scots and other Scots. Damn Scots they ruined Scotland!”
I came up with the idea of generating these portraits whilst watching the Simpsons as I felt that it would be a fun idea to combine two of my interests.
Of all the portraits I am most surprised or happy about is either Ned Flanders or Ralph Wiggum because these characters I believe are most true to them in the show and I can really imagine these characters possessing the same characteristics as their in-show counterparts. However, the hardest character to create and personally, my least favorite is Chief Wiggum as the AI failed to generate his iconic blue hair and pig-snout-like nose.
Lisa Simpson
She looks like she is about 3 years old. Still a neat interpretation of the character though.
Is he really a girl? She look more like younger Bart. She's too beautiful yet to childish to be Lisa
Lisa is a real girlish girl and not a tom boy and the hair doesn't fit her character
Milhouse Van Houten
Too much blue on the hair, it’s supposed to be deep blue
Load More Replies...The artist used AI to generate these photos, taking real photos and enhancing them.
Load More Replies...When Josh Saviano was a kid, I always thought he was what Milhouse would look like if he were a real person.
actually it works well. and the blue in trendy anyway so yeah i like it!
Milhouse shouldn't *really* have blue hair... anymore than everyone should really have yellow skin or three fingers.
In the future, I might work on other animated shows such as Futurama, King of the Hill or Family Guy and I am looking forward to sharing them! You can see more of my work on my Instagram!
Nelson Muntz
…His face doesn’t look 10 years old lol. Also he wears a vest
Nelson is 10 yes old in the show
Load More Replies...There is no way he looks that young! He got held back soo much in the episode's
Moe Szyslak
Ikr, AI was been generous to make his nose look like that.
Load More Replies...Ralph Wiggum
Sideshow Bob
Looks a lot like James Holmes the insane guy they shot up a Batman movie and tried to get away dressed up as a member of the SWAT team that showed up.
Truly didn't read your reply but yeah. Could've done without this image. Turned this unfun.
Load More Replies...Like Carrot top and Bradley had an awkward encounter
Load More Replies...Was just about to comment that! 😀👍 Glad someone else saw it too! lol
Load More Replies...He almost looks like Marv from home alone. The green shirt then takes my mind to Shaggy. Lovely tho ♥
Why does this look like James Holmes, the Dark Knight Aurora shooter?
Dr. Hibbert
Bart Simpson
Supposed to be more mischievous than angry. But this is a very pretty child
I love that there’s a touch of red in his hair…a call back to when Flanders was their landlord.
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
no they didn't he has a pencil thin mustache and chest hair this guy doesn't
Load More Replies...Can we stop acting like this one is perfect? Except maybe the nose the hair and features are WAY off. Like... Just cause it generated an Indian man doesn't mean it looks like a different Indian man.
We miss you Apu ! Sorry that the PC crowd absolutely had to ruin another good thing.
Edna Krabappel
A bit young, I always thought of Edna as being cougar territory
She looks too happy, and doesn't have that resigned "I've been teaching forever and I can't wait to retire" look about her.
Nope, that teacher looks happy and sweet. This does not match at all. Edna is a drained teacher that can drink some wine on occasion.
The hair is all wrong plus Edna always looks tired especially the eyes the ai person looks way to happy
Barney Gumble
That’s Kyle Rittenhouse at the 30 year reunion with Binger and Richards.
Principal Skinner
Mr. Burns
Patrick Stewart, what happened? Did you travel through a warp field by accident?
That's who I saw - Mr Burns borrowed Murdoch's face for the photo.
Load More Replies...I feel like Mr. Burns was inspired by that guy
Load More Replies...Not even close. One of my old customers looks like the human version of Mr Burns I kid you not.
Yo, this guy is Jacob Rothschild, satanist, and pedophile, don't be fooled!
Homer Simpson
Very good. What people lack to understand is that this is real-life Simpsons, not CGI Simpsons. Very good work .
Nope, this is all wrong. This guy's is not showing Homer's personally at all
Marge Simpson
I actually really like how the AI algorithm interpreted Marge. She makes me think of a quirky art teacher.
Okay. Idk why everyone downvoted these but this is just showing what an AI did so its nobodies fault tthat your Idea of these people .
Now, add this hair texture for "Sideshow Bob"! Marge has a over the top beehive.
Well, a lot of characters do find Marge attractive. I feel like this is an alternate dimension version that followed her artist dreams instead of marrying Homer.
Chief Wiggum
Everything except Homer and Marge are good renditions. But Homer doesn't have a goatee, he has a permanent 5-O'clock shadow. And Marge doesn't have 4a curls, she has a beehive 'do.
Interesting how each rendering is mostly spot on but still miserably fails (with a couple exceptions) because AI can't replicate the emotions properly. Like, Bart doesn't look mischievous enough to really look like Bart, Barney doesn't look sad and drunk enough to look like Barney, Mr. Skinner doesn't look hopeless enough to look like Mr. Skinner, etc. Appearance isn't just physicals features, it includes the vibe people give off and AI can't seem to capture that the same way human artists can.
Compared to Simpsons, these lack chatacter. Most of these photos are just beautiful, randomly looking people.
I am in no way a fan of AI artwork, however, I have to admit that these were actually surprisingly fun and fairly realistic (except Chief Wiggum who was pure nightmare fuel). I love AI's rendition of Groundskeeper W***y and Marge.
Jesus Christ BoredPanda, are you honestly censoring "w-i-l-l-y"? What the hell is up with this site and its idiotic censorship. We are not two years old.
Load More Replies...Not bad. The sideshow bob had some inspiration from the insane guy that shot up the Batman movie from years ago. It’s scary how it reminds me of that guy from the media.
It's true that these often don't look at ALL like the characters, and yet somehow they do look like people who would be a lot like characters (except Marge, Homer, Burns, Barney). LIsa is ADORABLE, but TOO young.
