What Does My £30 Tesco Shop Say About Me?
Okay, those in the UK, you're prices ain't that bad. I could go to Safeway and buy 2 bags of groceries for $150-$200. I wanted to guy a pumpkin pie and whipped cream for Thanksgiving today. The pumpkin pies are $5.99. The whipped cream is $5.99. With tax (in Manitoba), I would be paying $13.42. Just for pie and a can of whip.
These are all from the UK. I like the thread where the comparison is between countries.
Yes, but not THAT much, not in the UK. Source: I'm a Scot.
Load More Replies...Some of these people should pair up with others so they can learn how to shop to save. If I had a sainsbury, there are several here I would beg to sit at their feet and learn how to shop for a week on less than $5
What I learned was that if I ever have to shop for groceries in the UK M&S is fancy, Sainsbury and Asda is mid tier, while Aldi/Lidl are greatest fot price/quality relations, but with very limited variety (okay, knew that last one before - I'm German). And Iceland apparently offers somewhat scrappy stuff at (assuming) lowest cost withe a somewhat eclectic range of produce, depending very much on your "am I feeling lucky today" factor.
Is this list pissing anyone else off? I paid $100 today for 2 huge pumpkins and some fruit. The US is definitely not experiencing these prices. I'd love to see what people are really paying instead of these braggarts who bought next day expired food.
Calm down, sweetheart, these are normal prices. Look up what Waitrose and Sainsbury's are. And then get some therapy for your aggression problem.
