SNL Creates Sesame Street-Inspired Joker Parody, Nails All The Characters
The recent box office success, movie “Joker”, presented a sadder and darker version of the well-known cartoon supervillain. While it may seem fitting to create such a gloomy origin story for Joker, SNL decided to apply this take to something unexpected — the Sesame street. Thus creating the dark and gritty mashup of Sesame Street and The Joker that quickly went viral among fans.

The SNL’s trailer starts with Oscar, just like the Joker, talking with his therapist. After being asked how he feels, Oscar responds: ‘Grouchy. If everyone calls you trash and everyone treats you like trash, why don’t you just become trash?’

The skit also features other Sesame street characters that will be easily recognizable for all sesame street fans. Well, except here, they not all that cute and innocent-looking, making it definitely unsuited for children.
