Oh wow this is SO COOL!! We have little wooden hutches around our town that you can put donated books. one of my favorite things to do is fill the one at the playground up with children's books and see the joy. Except for the one time absolute feral children pulled all the books out and threw them in the mud while their dad just stood by, phone glued to face.

I would never done that to that truck. Looks like it says Tonka on the front fender. That truck even though it has rust on it , it is probably worth couple hundred dollars. Maybe more.

This Lamp Started Out As A Very Dirty Old Brown Lamp Base. The Shade Was From Another Thrifted Lamp
I cleaned it thoroughly then hand painted both sides of the base. I cut fabric into strips, turned edges and glued to the lamp shade. This took a few weeks of work to get right but it turned out so well!

Another thing my husband makes! I just love the one I have in my kitchen. He frames them to add storage. Old doors often have broken parts like windows or panels and framing allows them to still use those spaces. Certainly can't do this with any ol doors.
