A handful of female led action doing well (usually with a bunch of supporting male characters) doesn't mean it isn't true female led action can be at a disadvantage due to misogyny. In my experience female led action needs to be brilliant to do as well as mediocre male led can. Many men will outright admit to boycotting movies for having female leads, and these days every time a female led action movie comes out there are waves of hateful videos getting millions of views talking about how it's woke and the ruin of cinema (especially if she hasn't been made pretty or hot. Note in the 3 successful ones the movie that isn't over 30yrs old is by far the most prettied up throughout). Not all men are like that, but enough to make a difference. It's not that the Charlie's angels reboot was amazing, but tldr: weird to pretend women in action don't face harsher standards when many men will openly admit to avoiding a movie for being female led and angry when women aren't pretty first.

Possibly Sherk the Canadian DJ and producer with 12 subscribers on Spotify. Seriously, that's the most cringeworthy part of this; if you want to try to be clever, get the simplest things right. It makes you look so much more stupid.
