Rādix of Hong Kong is an art exploration project using tree roots as canvas, an organic source to combine my love for graffiti-patterns and botany.

This is a reflection about the impact of nature in our daily life and how we can interact and incorporate new perspectives to improve well being and awareness, to slow down and be part of the beauty around us.

I believe that “the soul of Hong Kong” are the tangled roots all around the city – where I spent the last 8 years of my life – collecting these images and merging the most famous concrete jungle with the power of nature.

Rādix of Hong Kong is a blend between photography, digital paint, acrylic and watercolor paint.

The idea is to work on the organic surface of the roots and play with empty and full spaces.

Revealing patterns inspired by the uniqueness of Nature. Every piece is unrepeatable, like every root or tree.

I am interested in natural supports and discover how they connect with human beings, emotions and life.
