Someone Noticed The Coolest Thing About The Way The Queen Matches Her Outfits, And We Can’t Unsee It

Now that's some royal dedication right there!

I find it absolutely charming that her umbrellas always match her outfits.

I like the dress style of the Queen, simple but dignified

but always wears her three strand pearl necklace and pearl drop earrings.

She's the Queen, if she wants matching brollies then who's going to argue?

If I were the queen I would rebel and wear trousers now and then so my legs would be warm.

Her impish smile always makes me smile back.

I love that she wears bright colors. It was reported that Countess of Wessex explained her mother-in-law's penchant for rainbow shades. "She needs to stand out for people to be able to say 'I saw the Queen." Makes sense, as when she does make an appearance, the crowd is always at least 8-10 people/rows deep!

Does she have a lot of umbrellas or does she just change the border...this could start an all new trend!

This has always been a thing! she has them specially made with every outfit she has put together for her. One thing to note which i have always loved, unless she is having to work with both hands (putting down wreaths etc) she will always carry her own brolly and not have someone follow her round with one.

I don't understand the obsession with royal ladies' clothes. It is ridiculous. How many men enquire about the clothes of charles or his sons?

All of her hats are kept in place with a hat pin that is covered with the same material as the hat so that you don't see it, and so she never has to worry that her hat is going to blow off. She wears the same medium pink lipstick, the same earrings (tiny diamond with slightly dropped pearl), three strand pearl necklace, same short gloves in black or white for summer, all of her dresses and coats are just below the knee and slightly flared for comfort and no concern that something is too tight or revealing (no decollete ever), same style of purse in black, black patent, or white for summer, same nude hose, and same style of shoe like her purses in black, black patent, or white for summer with about a two inch heel. She wears brightly colored outfits so that people can see her (she isn't that tall!). This is her out and about "uniform"; she has much fancier stuff for formal evenings; tiaras, long gloves, and the Crown Jewels of England!

She uses the clear bubble umbrella so that she can be seen by the people she is visiting. Her ladies-in-waiting select and coordinate her outfits for her. She does wear outfits more than once, but they will change details, like the hat ornaments and collars so that she is never exactly the same twice. And she has many beautiful brooches (all with real gemstones, of course).

Something I never noticed till now: her smile, teeth, etc. look EXACTLY like my grandmothers.

I'd love to talk to her umbrella maker that gets to match all those beautiful colors. I bet she has a room for all her broaches and beautiful jewelry.

I wouldn't mind being the person who has the contract to manufacture her umbrellas

She is always so well put together. She knows how to accessorize!

Now I imagine the Queen having a whole room just full of umbrellas and standing there merrily, choosing the accessory of the day.

Never mind the colour - where do I get an umbrella so DEEP? Those things look like they'd actually protect you in the rain!

And I noticed TWO pair of shoes. And BTW - black shoes go with EVERYTHING. And they look comfortable - something I'd give a lot for that didn't cost $100 or more. ;'(

Also almost always has the same pocketbook. Black patent!

Shocking. I do the same thing and I am not the queen. I thought this was a typical girl thing to do. You can't have a clashing umbrella.

I think that although funny, that its kinda ridiculous that she has like 15 of the same umbrella, just each one's stripe is a different color.
