How to use an extruded to make a unique retro clay pattern

Select 5 colors of polymer clay. Condition them. Using a circle cutter that is smaller than your extruded tube, cut out an even number of the same color and the exact same amount of each of the rest of the colors.

Using the same pattern, stack the colors on top of each other.

If needed, roll the tubes that you have formed just slightly so they will fit width wise into your extruded.

Using the square extruded piece, load up the tube, cap it with the square and extruded the clay. You may need to do this several times to process all of the Clay through the extruded depending on how long it is.

Cut the extruded pieces into the same length so you have 6 pieces. Then stack the pieces on top of each other. Once you have done that, cut the pieces in half and stack those on top so you are building up a grid.

Repeat the process three to four times.

You can now cut the pieces into thin sections and connect them on a flat surface.

Your pieces will form a beautiful unique pattern.

Run the sheet through a pasta roller machine or use your roller to even out your thickness and ensure all of the pieces are stick together.

Sometimes if there is varying thickness, the pattern may distort. This only adds to the uniqueness. Now you can use the slab to cut out your jewelry pieces and or use the clay for your project. Visit our shop on Etsy @SpiritEarthCreations
