Police Dogs In China Waiting For Food Are Better In Lines Than Most People

These police dogs in China show remarkable discipline by lining up for food with bowls in their mouths. Trained dogs can do remarkable things like sniffing for bombs or learning to turn lights on and off, so it’s not hard to believe that dogs in China might behave this way. The photo below of Finnish border patrol service dogs in the 1940’s seems to confirm this ability.

What do you think? Do you know anyone that trains police dogs?

i don't think this is cruel. It't not worse than it is for humans to learn to stand in line, like we do in school and very similiar this photo, the army. Dogs are highly social animaly and haven't been seen to take any harm from rules and dicipline as long as they aren't cruel ones. Actually, it seems like dogs feel GOOD when they know what's ecpected fom them, who's in charge, how to behave, over all how to be a good boy.

Dogs are trained by giving them rewards for good behaviour, like food and praise. They also learn by watching the other dogs. If these dogs were being beaten and starved they would not be healthy enough to serve as police dogs.

German Shepherds are working dogs. They're very intelligent and they need and want tasks and discipline. Without it they get bored and frustrated. As long as these dogs are being well cared for, you needn't feel sorry for them. Rather pity the ones who are locked up all day with no stimulation or activity.

I wonder how the dogs handle the full bowl.. I meant, are they gonna walk with two feet while the other two holding the bowl?

How is it any different than other livestock? Other than the fact that the western world has domesticated dogs for companionship. (Small note: I'm aware that the dog slaughter industry is often brutal, but this statement also applies to other areas of the meat industry. Not saying it's not morally wrong, just saying judging a country on their eating habits is a tad hypocritical.)

Dogs can be trained to do a lot of things and this is a good thing... I'm not sure about lining up to be fed... The Chinese train children like they train dogs just watch the Olympics and see these very young girls who are taken from their families at an early age and trained in a brutal way!

These are the "lucky" dogs in China a country where the Yulin dogmeat festival continues annually, and where local menus had to be altered to hide the truth from tourists during the Beijing Olympics.

So, to hell with those who abuse animals to save peoples life. Like using search-and-rescue hounds. It's symbiosis. Not abuse. They learn and do very useful things (find bomb, drugs, save people, etc.) and their trainers give them food and shelter.
