For months, we have been confined to our homes and we have no idea when we will be freed. We have been separated from our loved ones. Hugging has become a sign of selfishness when it was once a way to show someone you care. We can no longer go to school, or work, everything is online. Reading the news has become so conflicting and the rules of society change daily now. Completing basic errands like going to the grocery store is something to be feared. These are necessary precautions but it doesn't make it easier.

Twilight's Path is an ongoing project documenting wild places of the UK after nightfall. At night in a dark wood, one steps beyond the familiar trappings of human life and there is a powerful re-activation of childhood fears and wild flights of fancy - there is something almost regressive about the experience. There is a sense of unfamiliarity about the images; they present commonplace nature in a peculiar way. Artificial light brings a definition and mystery that is not available during the daylight hours.

In 1992, when the war broke out in Abkhazia, significant human rights violations were reported. Many women were raped, and around 20,000 members of an ethnic group were killed. Like many other wars, this one had negative consequences: more than 250,000 Abkhazian people became homeless. They fled to different cities in Georgia, including Tskaltubo. Since then, as refugees, they have been housed in huge abandoned buildings that were known as the most luxurious sanitariums in the Soviet era.

In 2020, Covid-19 came. Life changed. Probably irrevocably. The artist felt numb. Couldn’t stand around helpless. She decided to document the new daily existence of millions. She advertised her idea on social media and through my local paper in West London. The response was enormous. Imprisoned in their home, they gaze forlornly out of their window onto a different desolate world outside.

Playing sports is one of the most important factors in preserving the health of children and adults and creating work and defense skills, which further influences future social inclusion and adult life possibilities. Ismail Zulfic is growing up in a society where differences are not accepted easily—but it's the existence of prejudice that Ismail and his parents refuse to accept. He was born without arms and with deformities of both feet, but he's cheerfully made a place for himself in a much wider area than his community.

OTSC is an organization that was established to keep young kids of Chicago safe and off the streets. Chicago has the largest gang-infested neighborhoods in America. It is nearly impossible for a child in areas of Chicago to avoid joining a gang. Drugs and street violence take the lives of over 800 children a year in Chicago. These are just a few of the kids that are members of the OTSC. Many of these kids remain in school and get scholarships for college. Many elders return to OTSC to volunteer.

Through a mise-en-scene self-portraiture series, Made In The Shade depicts characters in Mid Century Modern settings, mirroring an era that was aspiring for change. The carefully staged scenes offer a powerful lens through which the viewer contemplates these women in a non-objectified way and reconfigures their essence. The absence of context gives these characters the power to be architects, scientists, musicians, engineers, doctors, etc.; roles often identified as being fulfilled by men. Through a female gaze, the work questions how society shapes human beliefs and ideologies.
