I have launched a non-profit photographic project that wants to change people's perceptions of tattoos and their significance. The project "Is that for real?!" emphasizes that different personalities of people inspire the theme of tattoos and the desire for differentiation; it brings together people from various fields, from corporate workers to freelancer artists, who are looking for a different kind of artistic freedom.
In Romania, a post-communist country sometimes it difficult to change people’s outdated ideas and beliefs, but the tattoo has evolved significantly in recent years even so. It has crossed the border of belonging to a marginalized group of society. It is about originality and self-expression. The purpose of the project is to bring together people from diverse backgrounds, with different jobs, to emphasize the uniqueness.
So far, almost 30 people have joined the project which is still ongoing.
