In school, one of my teachers thought I am a snob/a misanthropic a*****e or something who doesn't want to lower herself to talk to other students, but I was just so shy and scared. She never said it to me, I had to hear it from someone else much later.

I was told SO many times that people thought I was "cold". Took me decades to just start asking questions of people, so they could talk about themselves, whereupon they thought I was OK.

I'm shy AND mean! I think I'm nice, but some people beg to differ. My dad used to tell his "younger" friends who wanted to date me that I was too mean for them, haha!

YES! This was me last night. My mom called at 7:45pm and asked what I was doing. I said "I'm in bed" and she said "ALREADY?" like I was a mad woman. Yep, warm cozy and going sleep. Zzzz.

I had a MIL who would call me at 5 am: "Are you still in bed?" I had a busy life, a FT job, and 2 young children. I slept when I could.

I'm nocturnal, so going to bed at the crack of 7 AM it's very normal in me.

Me realizing my awkward sense of humor makes everyone else in the room uncomfortable.
