We Are Creating Miniature Paper Cut Birds Everyday For An Entire Year To Show How Important They Are
7Kviews
Hi, my name is Vaishali. Together with my partner Nayan, we are paper cut artists based in India. This is our second post on Bored Panda from the series we have been working on this year. You can find our previous post here!
A little introduction to the series. We have started 365 days challenge of creating miniature birds using paper and watercolors. And we did it every day for the entire year!
Each artwork begins with a sketch on paper. After that different layers are traced from the sketch on 200 GSM water color paper. Then each layer is precisely hand cut and then they are ready for coloring. Each tiny layer is hand painted with water colors with utmost precision. Finally, all the layers are assembled together to get a 3 dimensional look for our tiny paper birds.
Every single artwork takes about 4-8 hours to complete depending on the details of feathers and colors. Some of the tiniest paper birds measure only 1.8 CM in height (from head to tail).
Through our art we want to share the beauty and significance of these birds. We hope that people will understand the importance of birds and will help to save them.
“Climate is changing we should also change now.”
Enjoy our artworks!
