I have been professionally photographing nightlife all around the world for the past 5 years. From Australia to Central America, there is no party that my camera hasn’t seen. Over the years it grew not only into my profession, but also into form of art that I try to improve and re-invent.
Many may think that nightlife photography is more of a documentary type, but for me it is an artistic type of photography. It’s not simply documenting the party and people there, it’s trying to convey the feeling, the mood, the energy of the event. It’s a storytelling through visuals that are out of this world and that only my camera can see.
The biggest secret that i’ve discovered throughout these years photographing in the clubs of Korea, India, Croatia,New York, is that the key to good photos is photographers attitude towards the crowd. It’s not possible to be a good nightlife photographer, unless you fully engage and become one with a crowd. Not every photographer is capable of that.
