Neighbors Kept Running Over This Family’s Fence, So Dad Replaces It With Concrete And Wrecks 8 Of Their Cars

I am so happy that I know none of these people. They all sound rather horrible. And they sound like terrible drivers.

When we lived in Ohio, I worked part-time as a rural mail carrier. One of the best stories I had ever heard was about a gang of kids who thought it was funny to take a golf driver or a baseball bat to peeps' mailboxes and destroy them. They obviously didn't realize (or didn't care) that this is actually a felony. One farmer was sick and tired of having to replace the box (I couldn't deliver the mail by using anything other than a mailbox), he had a brilliant idea...he fabricated a "mailbox" the was solid concrete. Then he painted it up and waited. Didn't take long for the village idiots to drive by at high speed and take the bat to the indestructible version. when he hit it, he was hanging out of the passenger window, and the bat broke in a million pieces and threw him off balance and out the window. The driver lost control of the car, and wrecked into the ditch in front of the box. There was security footage of the entire episode. The kids were lucky they didn't get killed!

In our village, people drove much to fast last the farm my parents had (in North of Sweden). The authorities responsible for road and highway saftey did nothing even though I had lots of sibblings running around. The solution my father had, when he had enough, was to take the tractor and draw plough furrow across the dirt road. Nobody drove fast there more then once that summer. And I dont think that anybody complained either.

Well..now you can understand why I prefer to be surrounded by animals...I wish I could go away from people..they never stop to amaze me with their stupidity...

I'm definitely not one for actively taking revenge, but even I can see the concrete fence was justified. It was their property and it broke no laws, they were well within their rights to put up the highly visible concrete to protect their property.

When I was a kid, our next-door neighbors had high school teenagers who would drive through our yard with their cars and their friends' cars. My dad asked them, many times not to do it as they would constantly run over the small hedges my dad planted. They just ignored him and did it anyway. He decided he to fix it. One day, in front of a bunch of them playing basketball in the driveway, he poured a 4 inch dia. tube with concrete. The tube was placed just inside the foliage of the hedge nearest the street and stuck up out of the ground about 12". He even put reflectors on it. They all saw him do this but the next day, one of them came barreling through our yard until he hit the post and ripped his oil pan off. He was pissed and wanted my dad to pay for his car. My dad: "Nope. I asked you not to drive through my yard and then you saw me pour the post. This is on you." They had several friends do the exact same thing. One of them called the cops who said "No dice kid"

I planted a metal fence post to keep a neighbor from doing u turns onto my property. The last time his front tire missed the utility box by about 10 inches. The box is about 20 inches tall so the bumper was closer. No more u turns in my yard.

I had a work-study job with maintenance at my college. We fixed a hole punched in the wall in the freshman men's dormitory in the same place three Mondays in a row. The fourth time we put a piece of plywood behind the hole patch. Then we only fixed it one more time. :)

at work, we used to have a two-ton rock that served as a more attractive alternative to a bollard. a few years ago, I liked that rock a lot, because it did it's job (protecting a fire hydrant) very well. At least until a mattress delivery truck cut the corner and snagged the two-ton rock in it's wheel well- the rock we wedged in and that particular wheel was lifted off. There was a brown streak running down the otherwise brand-new asphalt and down the road. In any case, we've since replaced that rock with a five-ton rock, which has remained undefeated (and totaled eight cars, two pickups, an escalade, and one light moving van.) all of this is on multiple security cameras.

Here in the US, I could see the property owner getting sued for damages. It's ridiculous here.

my parents have a guesthouse up in Masuria, Poland, and they have a land divided by a small road. i's not an official road, it's just something that you create by years of riding through the same piece of land. so anyway, my parents, kind as they are, did not put a fence around the whole land, but left the road accessible for others to use (it goes from the main road to my parents' house and then deep into the forest, going out on another part of the town). so, one day a guy who lives on the other side of the main road came to my parents and demanded that they "donate" the road to the city, making it city grounds or at least they should pave it, because it's hard to use when it's only dirt and a bit of gravel... needless to say my parents did not react to that well and said that what they can do is put a huge a*s gate that will be locked at all times cutting everyone off from the shortcut they now have (;

You are all missing the point. The curb, the corner, the pot holes these issues just gives the offenders an opportunity to distract themselves from their miserable, unhappy, self hatred existence. Your curb is well done and attractive. Now you need to figure out how to add a reflective shield, not realistic, but wouldn’t it be cool if there was a mirror of some sort so they can see their tragic, wretched faces. They have a problem, tell them to look in the mirror, that’s their problem. Broken-hearted families and neighborhood unrest. LOOK IN A MIRROR PEOPLE Learn how to drive and stop deflecting your problems on your neighbor who is just trying to keep his property intact.

Fences make better neighbours..hope Trump doesn't start using that!!!!

where I live we get credits from the hydro company for planting trees, there are 3rd generation neighbours who grew up having free access to the corner lot, raiding the garden, going threw garbage, stealing stuff, so I had the yard fenced, they broken it, planted trees and a pollinator garden, to attract bees, and now they complain about the trees attracting rats, which are squirrels or o'possums, and bugs. just can

This sort of neighbour disputes are pretty common in Slovenia (I live in the sam country as the author)... But damn, the revenge had to be sweet for his dad. Wish I could see their faces

My Aunt & Uncle had these stone pillars half-way down their driveway. And not once, not twice, but THREE separate times people hit one of them to the point that they knocked stones off, got OUT OF THEIR CAR, put them "back" and drove off without admitting what they did. All grown adults too!!

There are some people you just can Not reason with . In desperation I called the council, they do reconciliation procedures. Which put behaviour restrictions ( basically be civilized ) on the horrible neighbor. I have had to call for re-enforcement a couple of times. But this is not such an entertaining story.

My father-in-law was forced to do something similar with his mailbox. It was a hard lesson learned for several car owners when a few bumpers and side panels were left behind in his ditch over the years.

After the third time and third encounter with these rude, POS pigs, everyone of driving age in that worthless family would disappear and be found years later in Missouri mining shaft with a bullet through each of their heads. We dont put up with subhuman garbage like this.
