Couple Can’t Believe What Their Neighbor Decides To Open In Her Home, Have To Live With Screaming And Crying

Having good neighbors is like winning the lottery — not many of us get to experience it. Some people have to deal with neighbors parking on their side of the property; others might deal with overflowing trash, barking dogs, or a loud motorcycle.

This couple’s home was their quiet oasis until a new family moved in. They decided to open a daycare, and that meant screaming infants and toddlers for the better part of the day for the neighbors. Although the couple wasn’t childfree, they still hated the noise, and the woman went online to vent about how it was driving her absolutely insane.

Hi there, fellow pandas! As a person (over)educated both in social sciences and literature, I'm most interested in how we connect and behave online (and sometimes in real life too.) The human experience is weird, so I try my best to put its peculiarities in writing. As a person who grew up chronically online, I now try to marry two sides of myself: the one who knows too much about MySpace, and the one who can't settle and needs to see every corner of the world.

you can hate the sound of crying and screaming kids but not hate children, to that one comment. i hate screaming whether its an adult or child, it just so happens that children scream more often. i can barely have our balcony open during summer because of children screaming from early hours to late in the evening but i dont hate kids, people are however childfree for a reason

It's the noise, not the daycare, so I would try to research if you can have them issued something about that.

Upvoted but the problem *is* the daycare. It's a daycare for kids. It's going to be a source of noise. What I don't understand is zoning that allows a commercial establishment that is potentially a nuisance to be run from a home in a residential area.

Huh? OP I assume was just venting and maybe hoping to get some tips on what they can do. People ARE allowed to have feelings about things when it affects them IN THEIR OWN home? They are ALSO allowed to b***h about it and hope for some good advice to lessen how much they’re effected.
